Clever Chinese Girl Sell Hugs to buy an iPhone 5 (Video)

The craze for Apple products is all around the globe, but in China, the craze of new Apple products is on extreme. The Chinese youths are crazier for the Apple products than the rest of the world. The youth is willing to do anything for an iPhone, iPod, or iPad. They can do anything to have an iPhone, iPod, or iPad. They just want to own an Apple product by hook or crook. It doesn’t matters what it takes them to achieve the goal. They can do anything and some things are beyond one’s imagination. They are just crazy die-hard Apple fans.

Previously we told you about a Chinese boy who wanted to have an iPhone and an iPad 2. In order to fulfill his luxury want, the kid went to some province and sold out his one kidney for $50,000 (Approx.) out of which he bought an iPhone, iPad 2, and a laptop. When he arrived back at home, his mother scolded him for selling out his kidney and reported the incident to the police. When the police raided the place, they didn’t found anything at that place.

Soon after that another incident happened in China and that time, the story was related to Apple iPhone 4S and the culprit was a teenage girl. This teenage girl wanted to have an iPhone 4S and in order to get one, she offered her virginity for sale. Later on, what happened, we don’t know. However, to sell a body organ to get an Apple product in China has now became a common practice. Every other person is selling his/her body organ to grab an Apple product.

After those both the cases, this time the case if the same for an Apple Product, but in a different way. This time the culprit is a girl and the victim is the iPhone 5. The only difference is of the medium of having money to buy an iPhone 5.

As we can see in the above picture that a girl is selling hugs to buy an iPhone 5. The location noted by MIC Gadget is Xiamen, a major city in southeast China where this strange girl was found holding a cardboard with a statement written in Chinese, stating:

“10 yuan for a hug, to collect money for iPhone 5”

This means, you pay $1.60 for a hug to the lady in black with black shades.

In no time, the lady was surrounded by spectators and amazingly three people hugged her, which means that she earned a total of $4.8 from three hugs. The amount of an iPhone 5 in China is 5,288 yuan (US$849). It means that the girl would require 526 more hugs to achieve the goal of buying an iPhone 5.

The most popular social network platform that we use to communicate with each other on different platforms was previously acquired by Microsoft. After being acquired by Microsoft, this famous communication gateway started to troll the updates on the platform of iOS. This communication gateway is no other than Skype. Skype is one of the famous communication gate way used by Million of the users on different platforms including iOS. The users of iOS are dependent on timely updates of Skype because Apple is on the roll these days in regards of releasing new products.

Back in October Apple released the Next Big Things, “iPhone 5” and in the last week of September, Apple released many new products starting from the iPad Mini to iPad Fourth Gen with improved Display and new features. All of these products made the life of Application Developers a bit miserable because they needed to update their Apps on time to gain more sales and to endure a better customer experience.

Like ways, Skype pushed out the first update mentioning updated for the iPhone 5 and iOS 6, as it wasn’t updated for the iPhone 5 completely. This new update for the iPhone 5 raised many voices against Skype and rated them as low as people could on the App Store. This was the first Troll update that Skype rolled out for the iPhone 5 users.

The day before, Skype was updated to support the taller display of the iPhone 5 with some minor bugs fixed. This was the second troll update that Skype could make. Instead of releasing one update for the iPhone 5 support, Skype released two updates only to support the iPhone 5 with different wordings.

Insufficient iPhone 5 Stock in India Sold out Due to Uncertain Demand

Following the sales of iPhone 5 in India on November 2 today WSJ Reported that Apple had sold out the iPhone 5 in India in just 24 hours. The iPhone 5 was out of stock in just 24 hours after the sale of the iPhone 5 started in India. Before the sales were live for the iPhone 5 in India, we also notified you about online reservation system for the iPhone 5 in India by which many of the Indian Apple Fans had reserved an iPhone 5 for themselves before hand. When they reserved the iPhone 5 online, they got a pass like ticket for the iPhone 5.

In other words, they were able to pre-order an iPhone 5 before it could hit the shelves of different stores. When the launch of the iPhone 5 in India came near, the lines might have started to emerge outside the selected retail outlets where the iPhone 5 was set for sale. Soon after the sales for the iPhone 5 started, the iPhone 5 was out of stock within 24 hours. When we heard about the iPhone 5 going out of stock, we assume that Apple might have shipped about a huge amount of the iPhone 5 in India which has been sold out in just 24 hours or the number of buyers increased.

The fact is that Apple had sent out a constrained stock of the iPhone 5 ranging from 10,000-15,000 units in India for sale. Due to this limited stock availability, the iPhone 5 was sold out within 24 hours. The news comes from a store owner who stated:

“We were sold out within 24 hours of launch. It’s all gone,” said Himanshu Chakrawarti, chief executive of The MobileStore Ltd., a retailer that stocks iPhones and which has 900 outlets across India. Apple Inc.’s latest iPhone officially launched in India on Friday, more than a month after it hit major markets elsewhere.

It clearly seems that Apple underestimated the iPhone 5 launch in India by predicting the demand to be less because the iPhone 5 is not sold directly by Apple in the country. Apple has contracted with different Mobile Companies who sell the Apple products with the permission of Apple. Apple cannot sell the iPhone officially in the country because strict rules and regulations of the government. This is the reason that Apple had partnered with different companies and opted to sell the iPhone 5 through them.

However, it is believed that Apple would be sending out 100,000 units of the iPhone 5 in the country by the start of the next month and making an increment in the number of units from 100,000 to 200,000 by the end of year. This year the demand for the iPhone 5 rose by 78% if compared to the iPhone 4S, although iPhone 5 got only minor update with a redesign shape.

Apple iPhone 5 India launch Date and Price Confirmed – Details

The highly anticipated iPhone 5 by Apple was unveiled on September 12 and started to roll out on September 21 in planned countries. Soon after the launch of the iPhone 5 in planned countries on September 21, the next wave was set for September 26 for further additional countries. Later on, the sales of the iPhone 5 got delayed due to mass production orders and Foxconn Employees went on strike.
