The New iPhone Will Carry a 4-inch Screen With Physical Changes

The rumors of the New iPhone are coming since last year and even before that. Every time, when we hear anything on the release of something by Apple, we expect that they would be unveiling iPhone 5. It happened with every one when Apple was about to unveil iPhone 4S and rumors were high for the iPhone 5. The rumors will go on for iPhone 5 until it is not unveiled. Like this we today once again came across the name of the iPhone 5 from Jeremy Horwitz, The Editor-in-Chief at iLounge. The claims made by him for the iPhone 5 are somewhat matching to the early reports for the iPhone 5 to carry a 4.6-inch screen.

This time there is a twist in the rumor. The New iPhone is said to be breaking the past trend of 3.5-inch screen and will be thinner than the previous versions of iPhone. The design of the new iPhone with Physical body changes is also expected. The New iPhone is expected to have a metallic back body and an amazing larger four inch screen display which Steve Jobs never wanted to have due to the design becomes less handy. To make things go on the right path, Apple is expected to make he New iPhone with Gorilla Glass 2, that is more handy and strength full. Last but not least, the dock connector for the iPhone would also be changed with the design.

Now coming towards the claim of iLounge over the new iPhone suggest that it will carry a metallic backside, the size of the iPhone will measure 125mm by 5.85mm by 7.4mm. If we compare to existing iPhone 4S/4, it makes exactly 10mm taller and nearly 2mm thinner.

According to our source, Apple will make one major change to the rear casing, adding a metal panel to the central back of the new iPhone. This panel will be flat, not curved, and metal, not ceramic. Our artist’s rendition provides a rough idea of what this change will look like; it echoes the current-generation iMac design, to be sure.

iLounge believes that Apple is going to make the New iPhone like iMac design. This means that the previous mockups for the iPhone 5 are somewhat similar to the upcoming release, as they were shaped like the iMac Design.

iLounge also notes that the aspect ratio of the screen would be changed in this upcoming release because the screen would be of four inch and it will be using Gorilla Glass 2 to make the iPhone thinner.

As the new iPhone won’t widen, this appears to confirm that Apple will change the new iPhone’s aspect ratio for the first time since the original iPhone was introduced in 2007, adding additional pixels to the top and bottom of the screen. A change of this sort took place between the fourth and fifth generations of the iPod nano, but didn’t impact any third-party software. This obviously will.

In last, iLounge states that the new iPhone would be carrying a thinner charging port that would be a bit bigger than the speakers in its surroundings. This means that the charging port would also be different from the iPhone 4/4S. It is expected that Apple might be planning to jump off from 30-pin dock connector to a 16-pin dock connector.

It’s believed to have fewer pins than the prior 30-pin Dock Connector, perhaps only 16, and the shape of the hole is apparently closer to a pill shape than the prior rounded rectangle. It will be used on all upcoming devices, including an update to the iPod touch that’s expected this year, and will almost certainly feature a similarly updated screen and CPU.

Till now it is very early to say anything regarding the New iPhone or the iPhone 5. Anyhow it is notified that the iLounge sources are reliable and the new reported by them is legit. The WWDC 12 is almost around the corner and we will come to know about what Apple has planned for future. Don’t forget to hook up for the WWDC 12 because that is the place where the innovation begins.

As far as the 4-inch screen is considered, we will see when we have it on how it works. The late C.E.O of Apple, Steve Jobs said once in his life that:

“Design is not how it looks like, Design is how it works”.

Now we have to see that how the design works with a 4-inch screen. What do you think about the new 4-inch screen? Would it be feasible for you to carry the 4-inch iPhone with you?
