Facebook Integrated OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Initial Beta Unveiled

This very fine Thursday, Apple released a fresh update for the newly released OS X Mountain Lion. This new update of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.1 brought some minor bugs fixed. No such major changes became known other than iMessages, Migration Assistant and few more changes. Soon after the update of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.1, Apple emancipated a new build of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Beta 1 for Developers. This new beta build of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 went for beta testing registration on Wednesday. Apple invited the developers who wanted to test the new build of OS X Mountain Lion on Wednesday to signup at Apple’s seeding portal, where they will release this Beta build to selected developers only. Those who signed at the right time now have this new OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Beta build.

The initial build of OS X Mountain Lion contains the build number (12C31A). The combo pack of this build compromises total of 642MB and can be downloaded from the Apple’s Developer Portal. With the release of this Beta build for OS X Mountain Lion, Apple has asked the Developers to give first priority on the Facebook integration that they have provided in this build. Apple to Hold Dual Media Events One after Another This Fall?

We are almost around the Media Event that Apple has planned for this fall to unveil iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. We are hardly weeks away from the unannounced Media Event by Apple. It was highly expected that Apple would be unveiling two new members to the family of iPhone and iPad. The two new members are iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. They are believed to be coming in the unofficially confirmed Media Event on September 12.

However today, a new report from Daring Fireball enclosed by pointing out that Apple would hold two different Media Events this fall. John Gruber of Daring Fireball made a solid situation stating about why Apple would carry two different Media Events this fall.

I’m thinking it makes more sense for Apple to hold two events. First, an iPhone event, focused solely on the new iPhone and iOS 6. Then, the iPhone ships nine days later, and there’s another wave of iPhone-focused attention as the reviews come out. Then, in the first or second week of October, Apple holds its traditional “music event”, exactly along the lines of the events at which they’ve been debuting new iPods for the last decade.

Jim Dalrymple, The Loop Apple Journalist gave out a hint on the statement given out by Grubber stating that:

No doubt, Grubber is a smart fellow.

These two different Media Events in the same month somewhat makes sense. Try to recall the previous iPhone 4S Media Event. Apple was only able to introduce the iPhone 4S and iOS 5 in just one hour and few minutes. They don’t have the whole day to spare for the launch. This year, Apple has planned iOS 6, iPhone 5, iPad Mini, and some refreshment to iPod’s as well.

So, on the September 12 Media Event, Apple would be able to announce the new iPhone 5 with its new features like Bigger screen, 4G LTE Connectivity, NFC Technology, and new tech specs. This will take about some hours to explain and demo. After the iPhone 5, Apple will demo the iOS 6 once again on the iPhone 5. This will probably take about two hours at max. If they proceed on with the iPad Mini, the audience would be bushed.

By obtaining a second Media Event, Apple can show off many new lineups that they have planned to release this fall. In the first Media Event, they can showcase the iPhone 5 and then in the second Media Event, they can showcase the iPad Mini with new iPod lineups.

Samsung’s Apple like Store Opened in Sydney’s George Street Australia

The war of the stores has just begun in Australia. This very fine Thursday, Samsung opened up an Apple like Store in Sydney on George’s Street. The news of the newly opened Flagship outlet opened by Samsung in Australia comes from SMH (Sydney Morning Herald) who opted to give a look in the new outlet by Samsung that was more looking like an Apple Store. On entering in the store, they realized the store is not of Apple though it is of Samsung. The outfit of the store is similar to the Apple Store that is just few blocks away. The inauguration of the store located at 450 George Street, was done with the newly released Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

According to SMH, everything starting from the store layout till packaging has been copied of Apple. This includes the dress code employees are wearing, the placement of products, smart phone’s packaging, and promotional materials.

Everything from the store layout to the sales staff to the products and even the packaging and promotional material is uncannily Apple-esque.

Luckily on this grand opening of the Samsung’s Apple Like Store, SMH was able to get hold of Samsung Australia telecommunications vice president, Tyler McGee. Without wasting any time, SMH went on with series of questions with McGee asking about the similarity between the Apple Store and Samsung Store. The remarks by McGee were not so appealing. Talking with SMH, McGee said they never imagined Apple Store while creating this Samsung flagship. He also added that Apple never came into comparison while we were looking for the location of the store.

This statement is not digestible by us. They would have known about the Apple Store near by. Samsung wanted to create a competition by opening its flagship in the same area where Apple’s flagship is located. We got hands on the locations of both of the stores on Google Maps that clearly shows the difference between them.
