How to Download and Install iOS 6.0.1 on iPhone 5 – Tutorial

Later today, Apple released a new iOS update to its future of iOS. The new update is iOS 6.0.1 that was previously expected to arrive on the iPad Mini Media Event, but we couldn’t see the update of iOS 6.0.1 on the Media Event because Apple had no plans for releasing it so soon. Fixes a Passcode Lock bug which sometimes allowed access to Passbook pass details from lock screen
Fixes a bug affecting Exchange meetings

Above mentioned are tons of issues that Apple fixed in this iOS 6.0.1 update. Other than the bugs in iOS 6, Apple forgot the O.T.A update option for the iPhone 5. In order to over come the O.T.A update issue in the iPhone 5, Apple released a separate updater for the iPhone 5 users who want to update to iOS 6.0.1 using O.T.A method. The method to update to iOS 6.0.1 on the iPhone 5 is a bit different, but not technical. We can say that the method is almost the same with one or two additional steps. Step 1:

If you want to update to iOS 6.01, then you need to head over to

Settings>General>Software Update.

Once you are in Software Update (O.T.A), after sometime the iPhone will show an update of iOS 6.0.1 is in the house. When you will scroll down, you will see download and install iOS 6.0.1 is not click-able.
