How to Download and Install iOS 6.0.1 on iPhone 5 – Tutorial

Later today, Apple released a new iOS update to its future of iOS. The new update is iOS 6.0.1 that was previously expected to arrive on the iPad Mini Media Event, but we couldn’t see the update of iOS 6.0.1 on the Media Event because Apple had no plans for releasing it so soon. We previously reported about some bugs that were found in iOS 6 and Apple was well aware of them. The bugs included issue in Camera Flash Light, Passbook, and few more bugs. These all bugs are fixed in iOS 6.0.1 update.

Other than the above stated bugs, Apple has fixed some more and unknown bugs. These bugs were known by Apple and not by the developers or normal people. These strange bugs were not really real time bugs, they were some mistakes that Apple made while releasing iOS 6. However, these mistakes have been over come by Apple in iOS 6.0.1.

The change log of iOS 6.0.1 is as follows:

This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
Fixes a bug that prevents iPhone 5 from installing software updates wirelessly over the air
Fixes a bug where horizontal lines may be displayed across the keyboard
Fixes an issue that could cause camera flash to not go off
Improves reliability of iPhone 5 and iPod touch (5th generation) when connected to encrypted WPA2 Wi-Fi networks
Resolves an issue that prevents iPhone from using the cellular network in some instances
Consolidated the Use Cellular Data switch for iTunes Match
Fixes a Passcode Lock bug which sometimes allowed access to Passbook pass details from lock screen
Fixes a bug affecting Exchange meetings

Above mentioned are tons of issues that Apple fixed in this iOS 6.0.1 update. Other than the bugs in iOS 6, Apple forgot the O.T.A update option for the iPhone 5. In order to over come the O.T.A update issue in the iPhone 5, Apple released a separate updater for the iPhone 5 users who want to update to iOS 6.0.1 using O.T.A method. The method to update to iOS 6.0.1 on the iPhone 5 is a bit different, but not technical. We can say that the method is almost the same with one or two additional steps. After this iOS 6.0.1 update, the issue would be resolved.
