Apple May Pour Water on Samsung’s Dream of NFC in iPhone 5S – AirDrop

Samsung is one of most competitive rival of Apple since the introduction of iPhone in 2008. Samsung always try to stay ahead of Apple iPhone technology by introducing such features that would take sometime for Apple to announce or Apple cannot announce in its iPhone due to some limitations or restrictions. The first example we can take of Samsung staying ahead of the iPhone is of the screen size. Samsung in its flagships had increased the size from 4-inch to 5-inch timely, where as Apple in its iPhone 5 increased the screen size to 4-inch only.

Other than this, Samsung announced many new features like NFC (Near Field Communication) in its Flagships and Apple haven’t announced or willing to add NFC in its upcoming iPhone series. When iPhone 5 was rumored to debut in June at WWDC 12, the speculations regarding NFC compatibility made headlines around the Internet. However, after the launch of the iPhone 5, no NFC was spotted in the iPhone 5. It was said that Apple might announce NFC in iPhone 5S, on which Samsung picked on Apple by making an Ad portraying the use of NFC by bumping the phones together and the iPhone user was looking their faces. Upon asking the guys in the Advert that what was it? They said don’t u have one, may be you will get in the next hardware release.

ios7_airdrop

The pick done by Samsung on Apple over NFC seemed to be legit until iOS 7 Beta 1 arrived at WWDC 13. The same WWDC 13 where Craig picked on Samsung stating,

“ If you want to share with multiple people, you just need to tap, tap, tap. No need to wander around the room bumping your phone with others”.

This smart move made by Craig in iOS 7 Beta 1 while showing off Airdrop feature made the audience ROFLING.

On the same end, Apple hinted towards a NFC free iPhone 5S (may be) because Airdrop feature is more advance than NFC (No One Fucking Cares). If Apple continues this feature of Airdrop in iOS 7 and makes it more appealing, then we don’t think that there would be any need of NFC in the iPhone 5S.

If Apple introduces NFC in the iPhone 5S, it would be due to payment gateways or so. Otherwise, we don’t think that Apple is going to introduce NFC after Airdrop feature in iOS 7.

Hence, Apple might pour water on Samsung’s dream of NFC coming to the iPhone 5S. Now Samsung needs to grow up from NFC and would have to come with something new to compete Apple over Airdrop feature.

Which Cydia Tweaks Apple Copied to make iOS 7 look Stunning – List

On June 13, 2013, the world praised Apple because the fruit company released a new iOS version called iOS 7 with major overhaul, new UI, new icons, and many new functions that were never ever introduced in past by it. In past, the world used to get such features after Jailbreak, but this time Apple provided the users with same features in iOS 7 by copying the same Jailbreak features in a different and innovative way. The features and functions are the same, but the way we will be using it would be different than we used them in past.

Therefore, people who went crazy after seeing the iOS 7 demo forgot that they were or they were not using the same features in old fashioned way on their Jailbreak iPhone under different names. We have made a small list of iOS 7 features and Cydia Tweaks that are copied by Apple to make iOS 7 stunning. We have got a small list because our use of Cydia Tweaks is limited to some nice and good tweaks. We are sure that Apple might have used many more, but the one’s we have got in our knowledge covers about 60-70% of the iOS 7 main features.

So lets start with the list of features in detail. We will first start with the most amazing and most loved feature of iOS 7 that is Multitasking.

iOS 7 Multitasking Feature is Copied from Auxo Cydia Tweak:

Found the title strange or offensive? No offense from our side, but the truth is truth. We all know that any one can copy Cydia Tweaks because they are not patented and according to Steve Jobs (Late): “You don’t own anything until its Patented”.

Hence, Apple can copy Cydia Tweaks at full because they are not patented and they cannot be patented because the price of patent is huge. Fulfilling the price and requirements would blow one off. However, we are not interested in this thing. Therefore, we will continue on with how come iOS 7 multitasking affiliates with Auxo Cydia Tweak.

Here are the results:

iOS 7 Multitasking Feature:

Auxo Multitasking:

How is it same?

It is quite clear that Apple has changed the UI of Auxo Multitasking by changing the placement of icons.

As you can see that we got Messages tab open in Multitasking of Auxo that is showing Messages icon with a preview window of messages in small. The same is being done in iOS 7’s Multitasking window, but in a different way. Apple has enlarged the icons and separated the icons with preview.

iOS 7 Control Center Copied from SBSettings, Auxo, and NCSettings:

SBSettings, Auxo Cydia Tweaks:

How is it same?

We don’t need to give any justification on this because people familiar with the above mentioned tweaks would be well aware of the use and similarity.

Download Official WWDC 13 Keynote from iTunes – Link

On this year’s WWDC 13, Apple and its team might have stunned its users by announcing several new updates and product releases. Apple follows the same practice every year, but this year at WWDC 13, Apple have taken it’s products and OS to a completely new level by revamping every bit of it’s products.

When Tim Cook took the stage to start the Keynote session, no one was aware of the upcoming innovation done by the fruit company for its products. Every one knew two things and those were iOS 7 with MAC OS X 10.9. Rest people had no idea about MAC Pro Refreshment and MAC Book Air Refreshment would be announced on WWDC 13.

Before the arrival of iOS 7 on WWDC 13 Keynote, Craig announced MAC Pro with a completely new design that blew every one’s mind because the design was very appealing and it was something new in the field of computer. We can say that Apple did think out of the box.

However, Apple was live streaming WWDC 13 Keynote this year and some of you might have missed it due to heavy load on the stream or people like me might have closed the live stream due to lagging issue in the stream. If this is the case, then you don’t need to worry because Apple has a habit of posting its Keynote videos on iTunes for future downloads after the event is held. Therefore, Apple has added WWDC 13 Keynote on its iTunes list that can be downloaded by every one from the official link.
