Apple Introduced Activation Lock in iOS 7 Ahead Smartphone Summit

Today at WWDC 13 Apple introduced a feature called Activation Lock in iOS 7 to increase the security of iPhone/iPod/iPad. This new feature of Activation Lock will not be released separately for the iDevices; indeed the already released application of FindMyiPhone would be updated in iOS 7 to support this new feature. The main purpose of Activation Lock is to protect the iDevice from being activated after it is wiped off remotely using FindMyiPhone application for PC and MAC. It also protects the turning off FindMyiPhone feature in iDevices.

The moment a person/thief will try to turn this feature off or will attempt to activate the device after it is remotely wiped out, this feature of Activation Lock will come in action and will prompt the person to enter in the official iCloud details to proceed on with the activation of the iDevice. In other words, we can say that it will require Apple ID and Pass to activate the iPhone back. If the user fails to provide the ID and Pass, then he can either throw away the iPhone or hand over the iPhone to police because the iPhone would be useless for him.

If a thief tries to turn off find my iPhone, or wipe the device entirely, they will not be able to reactivate it- Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President Software Engineering.

The integration of this new feature would be made some time in fall when iOS 7 would be release for General public.

The main reason behind tightening the security of iPhone’s in iOS 7 is not that Apple loves its customers more than its money. The main reason behind tightening the security in iOS 7 by adding Activation Lock is the Smart Phone Summit to be taken place by government officials of US on June 13, 2013. The Government officials have called Apple, Google and others to a “smart phone summit” to study about smartphone-associated crime in NYC and the rest of the country. The district attorney and state attorney have asked the smart phone manufacturing companies to come up with a solution to stop the increment in smartphone street crimes that have taken a great pace these days.

Therefore, Apple has played its move by announcing Activation Lock iOS 7 version by saying,

“your iPhone is still your iPhone. No matter where it is”

“If you don’t have an iPhone. So you don’t have an iPhone”

Apple Drops iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4 Support from iOS 7

Finally Apple unveiled a whole new world on which it was working on since a long time to showcase on its WWDC 13. Therefore, today Apple finally showed off the products on which it was working to make them look different from their preceding versions. While showing off with new and innovative products, Apple demoed iOS 7 with a complete new design, UI, icons, and features that are exclusively available in iOS 7. No preceding version of iOS contains those features, UI, icons, and much more. Apple no doubt did a great makeover of iOS 7 for iPhone, iPod, and the iPad.

In order to enjoy lot of new features in iOS 7, Apple dropped the support of iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4 because they were too old to support iOS 7. The support of iOS 7 starts from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5, iPad 2 to iPad 4, and iPad Mini as well.

Dropping the support of iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4 for iOS 7 seems to be a legit decision because these devices lag on the latest iOS 6.1.3 version. If Apple had rolled out iOS 7 for them, these devices would have been dead for sure. Therefore, Apple dropped the support of iOS 7 from iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4. Where as, iPhone 4 and beyond will support the latest iOS 7 version.

People owning an iPod Touch4 or an iPhone 3GS would need to update their devices to the latest Apple gadget available for them on contract or off contract. However, it is not mandatory to update to iPhone 4 or beyond. Only update if you want to enjoy a newly designed iOS version.

First Android Based Cameraphone Galaxy S4 Zoom Image Leaked

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is the first Android based Camera Phone to debut by Samsung in few weeks. The rumors regarding Galaxy S4 Zoom Camera surfaced the Internet time ago and nothing was confirmed, whether the rumors are real or fake. As time passed by, the rumors regarding Galaxy S4 Zoom Camera started to take a great pace and confirmations started to arrive regarding its legitimacy. Later on, it was confirmed that Samsung is going to announce Galaxy S4 Camera Zoom this summer.

However, the thing that wasn’t clear about this Galaxy S 4 Zoom was about the ability of calling function to be added in this version or not because in the previous version of Galaxy S Camera, there was no functionality of calling. We did reported about the alleged functionality of calling feature to be added in Galaxy S4 Zoom Camera, but nothing was confirmed. A reliable source did told that the calling functionality would be arriving in Galaxy S 4 Zoom Camera, but they their self were skeptical about this feature because it was an advance feature to be added in a camera.

To clear the doubt of calling functionality, SamMobile has obtained the first image of actual Galaxy S4 Zoom with real time functions that would be coming in Galaxy S 4 Zoom Camera this summer.

This means that Galaxy S 4 Camera would be quipped with a SIM Card that will allow you to use GPS and will allow you to call as well. MAC OS X 10.9 Banner Rises After iOS 7 at Moscone West – Strange

Following the rise of iOS 7 Banner at Moscone west for WWDC 13 starting this Monday, June 10, 2013, Apple has lifted a new banner with a big X on it. This new banner is no doubt pointing out OS X because a new OS X version that is MAC OS X 10.9 was heavily expected to arrive at WWDC 13. Apple will not release OS X 10.9, but they will demo and release the OS X 10.9 Beta version on WWDC 13. The same will be done with iOS 7. The iOS 7 Beta 1 would be released and following the initial release, Apple will seed several betas prior to final public release.

The image above clearly portrays a big X that is for MAC OS X 10.9 Beta 1 Release and examining the image closely shows a wave behind X in green color. This sign of wave could mean something because Apple loves to hide secrets in its banners. However, the name of OS X 10.9 is not confirmed or leaked yet, but we are expecting the name to be something new and unique than the name of animals that Apple has been using in past for OS X versions.

Before Apple takes the stage to announce this new build of MAC OS X 10.9, we would like to tell you about the two famous features of OS X 10.9 that were leaked in past prior to this announcement. The features of MAC OS X 10.9 can be viewed over here.
