  • iPhone 5S and 5-inch iPhone 6 To Debut in 2013 – Chinese Sources

iPhone 5S and 5-inch iPhone 6 To Debut in 2013 – Chinese Sources

The rumors are back with a new speculation of iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 with a 5-inch screen size. Following the preceding rumors from scratch regarding the iPhone 5S, we have seen the rumors pointing out a multi-color scheme, then comes the design imitation of the iPhone 5 with a slightly larger display of 4.8-inch, and finally, comes the number of last rumor that hinted towards a 13MP Camera coming to the iPhone 5S. All these rumors put some weight to the preceding rumors regarding the iPhone 5S. As far as the iPhone 6 is concerned, we have come across a single rumor regarding it in past.

The rumor regarding iPhone 6 was of the Block Speaker part that was leaked in wild along with the iPhone 5S’s Block Speaker. In comparison of the block speakers, the iPhone 6’s Block Speaker hinted towards a larger display size that is going to be discussed in today’s speculation made by a Chinese Source claiming that Apple will release two new models of iPhone in 2013. The first model of the iPhone will be iPhone 5S and second one will be iPhone 6 with a 5-inch display.

    iphone_5S_iphone_6_2013_iphone_5S_mini

The news of these two-iPhone releases comes from a translation done by BrightWire from the Chinese Media who claimed that Apple would be releasing iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 in 2013.

    • A source told Chinese mobile phone information site Laoyaoba.com that he has seen the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 at Apple’s suppliers. Both models may be released in 2013, according to the website’s microblog on Thursday evening.

    • The source noted that the iPhone 5S resembles the iPhone 5, and the five-inch iPhone 6 is lighter and thinner.

The new about iPhone 6 with a 5-inch display doesn’t make sense because Apple moved to a 4-inhc Display after a long time. Therefore, a sudden increment in the display from 4-inch to 4.8 or 5-inch doesn’t make sense. However, these early speculations have made a significant progress and heavily pointed the launch of a larger display iPhone in 2013. Keeping these rumors/speculations in considerations, we can assume an iPhone with a larger display would be making it way to markets some time in fall 2013.

The citing’s made by Chinese Suppliers regarding the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 with a 5-inch Display might come true because Apple’s Key Suppliers are based in China and the prototype leak process will follow as soon as some progress has been made by Apple in the case of iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 with a 5-inch Display.

  • iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 Doesn’t Patches iOS 6.x.x Untethered Jailbreak

iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 Doesn’t Patches iOS 6.x.x Untethered Jailbreak

The cat and mouse game between Apple and iOS Hackers is going to Start again soon. Apple recently released iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 following the preceding iOS 6.x.x Untethered Jailbreak made on Monday. Apple released this new iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 exactly two days after the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6.x.x arrived. When this iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 was seeded to Developers, it was assumed that the Exploit used by Evasi0n for the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6.x.x might have patched by Apple in this Beta build, but the change log of Beta 1 never stated anything related to exploit being fixed.

The change log of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 focused on improvements to be done on Maps for Japan including numerous major improvements and some bugs fixed in it. Other than the Maps, there was no sign of fixing the exploit or anything related to exploit patching was discussed. Therefore, the iOS Security researcher, iOS Hacker, and upfront member of Evad3rs released a statement on his Twitter account stating that the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6.x.x isn’t fixed in this initial build of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1.

This doesn’t means that Apple will not patch the Untethered Jailbreak exploit in iOS 6.1.1 because this is just the initial Beta of upcoming iOS 6.1.1 and Apple might not have considered looking into the exploit for fixing it. However, we are skeptical about the fix of Evasi0n’s iOS 6.x.x Untethered Jailbreak in iOS 6.1.1 Public Release because the chances are low that Apple will fix the exploit in it. The reason that Apple will not patch the exploit in it is that Apple is mainly focusing on a Maps fix for a particular country of Japan and not for the world.

We can also conclude that Apple might release iOS 6.1.1 for Japan users only because the main area of focus in Japan and not the rest of the world.

Still refrain from updating your iPhone, iPod, and iPad to iOS 6.1.1 Beta’s or public release because the Untethered Jailbreak won’t work and once updated, there is no way coming back.

Download iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 Released by Apple to Put Evasi0n in Danger

The time has come to brace your self for an update coming on its way by Apple to fix the Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6.x.x. The update coming by Apple isn’t any ordinary update because Apple has just released a new version of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 to registered Developers only. This new version of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 has been seeded internally to the registered Developers, as Apple did at the time of iOS 6.1. Those developers registered for private Beta testing can only use this build of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1.

    download_ios_6_1_1_evasi0n_jailbreak

This new build of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 brings some major over haul for the Japanese Maps. As noted by 9to5mac, the changes in this build of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 are limited to Japan and all the changes listed in the change log are related to Japan. None of the changes reflects any other countries than Japan. The improvements made or the areas on which Developers need to focus are:

    • Improved pronunciation of roads during turn-by-turn navigation
    • Optimized directions to more strongly prefer highways over narrower roads
    • Now indicates upcoming toll roads during turn-by-turn navigation
    • Added labels for junctions, interchanges, on-ramps, off-ramps, and intersections
    • Added indicators for transit station buildings, subway lines, and traffic lights
    • Updated freeway color to green
    • Updated icons for some location categories including fire stations, hospitals, and post offices Added 3D buildings including Tokyo Station, Japan Imperial Palace, and Tokyo Tower

Even after seeing the change log of this new build, the focus of Apple is for Japan Maps and few locations of Tokyo. Other than this, the news of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 release strikes as lightning for the iOS 6.1 updaters because the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6.x.x was released few days back with the name of Evasi0n by The Evad3rs. Therefore, it is widely expected that Apple will be patching the Untethered Jailbreak by Evasi0n with this update of iOS 6.1.1 because Apple hates Jailbreak more than iOS lovers hate Android.

If you are on iOS 6.0.x and waiting for a good time to update your iDevice, then don’t just sit back and relax, move your self and update to iOS 6.1 before Apple releases iOS 6.1.1. If iOS 6.1.1 debuts before you update to iOS 6.1, you will lose the most awaited Untethered Jailbreak for sure and will miss all the fun. Now the choice is yours.

  • iFaith v1.5 For Windows Released to Save iOS 6.x SHSH Blobs – Download

iFaith v1.5 For Windows Released to Save iOS 6.x SHSH Blobs – Download

It seems like Sunday is really going to be Funday. This Sunday, the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6.x is heavily expected to arrive and the world is waiting for it, where as Cydia packages are being updated consistently for the support of iOS 6.x. On the other hand, a well-known iOS Hacker, ih8sn0w updated its preceding Tool called iFaith to a new version of iFaith v1.5 with some major improvements made to the Tool after a long time. We last saw this tool in action at the time of iOS 5.x.x for iPhone 4 and preceding devices only. As of now, the support for iPhone 5,iPhone 4S, iPad 4, iPad 3, and iPad Mini has been added to iFaith v1.5.

    ifaith_v1.51_download_ih8sn0w

The support for saving the SHSH Blobs for A5 (X), A6, and A6 (X) doesn’t help in downgrading the iOS to the old version because there is no way or a loophole by which this process of downgrading can be carried out. This tool of iFaith only allows a user to save SHSH Blobs for an iDevice and use them for downgrading purpose for A4 equipped Devices only. Once the SHSH Blobs are saved with you, the Tool iFaith automatically submits the same SHSH Blobs on Cydia Server to be on the safe side.

What is new in iFaith v1.5?:

    • Major code improvements.
    • Added Check for Update code.
    • Adds the ability to dump iOS 5.1.x/6.0.x/6.1 on the iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3, and A4 devices.
    • Crazy payload rewrite. (There are a chain of payloads used in this new iFaith purely dedicated to bumping up performance. iFaith should dump instantly after payload executes!).
    • Finally enabled 3.x.x IPSW creation for iPod touch 2G users.
    • Finally fully fixes NAND issues with newer models (e.g iPhone 4 8GB, new iPod Touch 4 models).
    • In addition to dumping your SHSH blobs, iFaith will automatically fetch SHSH blobs for the latest iOS Apple is actively signing and submits them to Cydia.
    • All devices [including A5(X)/A6(X)] can grab SHSH blobs for the latest iOS firmwares Apple is actively signing simply by selecting the “Show available SHSH blobs on Server” button and following the on-screen prompts. (It will submit them to Cydia as well).
Even though you may not be able to utilize the SHSH blobs you save for A5(X)/A6(X) devices at this time, you may be able to in the future (Future loopholes/exploits)!

    Mac Version?!:

I’m working with @Djayb6 on getting iFaith fully ported to Mac OS. I can’t provide an ETA as to when it will be available, but keep an eye out for it! :)

    A5(X)/A6(X) Support?!:

Devices equipped with the A5(X)/A6(X) processor do not currently have any known low level iBoot or DFU exploits to jump start the iFaith payload to initialize the dump and restore. Therefore, support to dump blobs for devices running these processors are not possible at this moment in time. (You can still fetch the latest blobs directly from apple though by clicking the “Show Available SHSH blobs on Server” button.

    A5(X)/A6(X) Downgrade?!:

As far as downgrading on A5(X)/A6(X) devices goes… There currently is no publicly known loophole to kick-start a downgrade. So at the moment there is NO public way of downgrading an A5(X)/A6(X) device. For A5(X) devices that have 4.x.x SHSH blobs cached or still running 5.x.x, redsn0w can recycle the first apticket loophole and
*re-restore* your device as long as you have the essential SHSH blobs. More info on that here.

    Windows 8 Users:

    • You will need to follow this tutorial to get iFaith to run.

You can download the latest iFaith v1.5 version from here.

Evasi0n iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Tool is 25% away from Release

Following the upcoming Untethered Jailbreak of iOS 6 by The Evad3rs in a new tool called Evasi0n, a significant progress have been made in two days. The day before yesterday, the team Evad3rs was formed and the day after, the name of the Tool Evasi0n came to live. The moment Evasi0n Tool Website came to live, it had this progress bar line on it, which is moving consistently day-by-day showing the real-time progress of the iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Tool Final release. The day before, progress of the tool was 68% in which testing on MAC and Windows was finished, where as the testing on Linux was being done.

However, as of today, the progress of Evasi0n iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Tool has made a solid progress from 68% to 75% in which the testing on Linux is still being done and the Evasi0n Tool has entered into private Beta testing on OS X and Windows. At this time, we can conclude that the private beta testing is being done by the team of Evad3rs and other iOS hackers to test the tool’s working functionality. If the tool is working fine or not.

    evasi0n_ios_6_untethered_jailbreak_tool_download

The next step to be done after the private Beta Testing of the iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Tool is the extended Beta testing of the Tool. This extended Beta testing of Evasi0n would be done by outside reliable users and not the iOS Hackers themselves.

Assuming all the things going fine on the track for the iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak, the release will be made this Sunday. If we follow the progress bar that states 75% done as of today, we can expect the progress to reach 85-95% as of Saturday and the final release on Sunday.

    UpdateX1:

A new fresh day with a new progress made to the Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak Tool. Following the day before report of 25% progress left for the final release, today the progress dropped by 5% making it 20% remaining for the Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak Tool to Arrive. Now, the Linux version of the Evasi0n Tool has been finished and the tool is being tested privately on all the three platforms by iOS Hackers.

    evasi0n_linux_version

The next step posted on Evasi0n’s website if of extended private Beta testing that is supposed to be done today or on Sunday after which the Tool will be made publicly available.

  • Evasi0n Jailbreak Tool for Mac and Windows Finished, iPad Mini PWNED – Images

Evasi0n Jailbreak Tool for Mac and Windows Finished, iPad Mini PWNED – Images

The upcoming Jailbreak tool of Evasi0n by The Evad3rs is making a good progress as the days are going down and the release of the Tool is coming near. Following the announcement of the Untethered Jailbreak Tool of Evasi0n by The Evad3rs, the day before, today it made some significant and satisfactory progress. At the time of the announcement of the website of Eavsi0n by Evad3rs, the progress bar of the Untethered Jailbreak Tool was shown at GUI work in progress, where as today the progress bar moved to 68%.

This movement to 68% included the Applications for Windows and OS X are finished, where as the work on the Linux platform is being worked on. After the work on platforms have been finished, the next step mentioned by the Evad3rs if of private Beta Testing that seems to be already in progress, but not at large. As the work on Linux is going on, the Beta testing might have begun on Windows and OS X Platform for limited private Beta testers.

    evasi0n_jailbreak_tool_for_mac_windows

The confirmation of Evasi0n Tool being distributed to limited private Beta testers comes from the images of the iPad Mini in a Jailbroken form on Instagram. The images were shared by Avneesh Setia on his Twitter account stating that:

The images posted by the Beta Tester seem to be legit because the release of the Untethered Jailbreak is only few days away. We can say that the Untethered Jailbreak of Evasi0n is only three or two days away from the public release. The stakes are high for the Sunday Funday release.
