Camera Grabber Adds Camera Shortcut on your iPhone Lock Screen

Many iPhone/iPad/iPod users are out there Jailbreaked on ios5.0.1 anxiously waiting for the Jailbreak of the new iOS firmware 5.1.1. If any of you had a chance to look at the new lock screen of iOS 5.1, it’s really amazing. The camera button is always visible and clicking on that button does not activate the camera, sliding the lock screen upwards activates it. And it closes the same way by sliding from the top to bottom of the lock screen to shut the camera off and come back to the lock screen itself. This is one of the amazing features that are introduced in iOS 5.1.1. A part from this feature, SIRI the personal assistant also got an update with the support of Japanese Language.

I specifically loved this new feature that Apple introduced in its new iOS update and I wanted to update just so that I could get the new lock screen. The problem was that, I was depending on Unlock. There was no way that I could update to iOS 5.1.1 by preserving the baseband and grab this feature. Even if I managed to update to iOS 5.1, the jailbreak was tethered which is another pain for me. So I went on a deep search on Google and found out that we can get the same button on older iOS version, that it iOS 5.0.1 on which the Jailbreak is Untethered. I found a tweak called, “Camera Grabber”, the tweak that is similar to iOS 5.1’s camera lock screen’s feature. The camera button from the normal Cydia tweak was way better than all of the prevailing ones. And it works just like the new iOS 5.1.1.

If you want to grab that Tweak and make your iPhone/ iPod/ iPad look like it is on iOS 5.1.1, so follow the steps below to grab one for your self.

    Steps to Follow:

    Step 1:

First of all you need to Jailbroken on your iDevice. If you don’t know how to jailbreak or are new to Jailbreak community, you can follow our complete guide on how to jailbreak your iOS version from here.

    Step 2:

Once you are done with the jailbreak or already got a jailbroken iDevice, simply open up Cydia and go into search tab.

    Step 3:

Now search for “Camera Grabber”. Once you have found the Tweak Install it. Once done, the camera button will show up on your screen like shown below.

The tweak is available for free in the repo of Modmyi. You don’t need to add any sort of repo to get this tweak.

After installing this Tweak, don’t forget to put up a passcode on your iDevice because your privacy can be threaten by this feature. This is not the problem of Cydia Tweak; this is the problem with Apple’s latest iOS 5.1.1 also.

Asbinthev2 Untethered Jailbreak Tool Video Surfaced (Video)

This must be a great day and a weekend for all the people for waiting for the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1. We were continuously updating you regarding the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 along with @pod2g, the person working with the Dream Team to make this Untethered Jailbreak possible on all the iDevices. Few minutes back we told about some information released by @MuscleNerd regarding the iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak stating that the release of the Untethered Jailbreak is within this week depending on the factors occurred if any that can delay the release. He also stated that the release would be made in the previous tools used for the Jailbreak subsequently by AbsintheV2 and Redsn0w.

When this news was announced, there was a video on YouTube showing the AbsintheV2 in action. When we tried to grab that video, it was made private. Now once again the same video surfaced and we managed to get our hands on to it. We are sharing the video with you people before it gets late and the video goes private. You can see the video below:

To see the video, you need to turn your head into vertical position. Thought the video quality is not good, but it is clear that the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 is ready and only small work is remaining.

  • Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 Info Revealed by MuscleNerd

Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 Info Revealed by MuscleNerd

The Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 is around the corner and @MuscleNerd today revealed some important information regarding the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 with the tools on which the Untethered Jailbreak would be supported. The tools are the old ones, Redsn0w and Absinthe v2. Below are the details posted by @MuscleNerd on his website.

    * All info below is tentative and subject to last minute refinements

    * @pod2g’s 5.1.1 jailbreak+untether is working out great.  All devices are covered except for AppleTV3,1, which currently has no path for jailbreaking.  – the initial 5.1.1 plan used a kernel exploit from @westbaer which unfortunately precluded use in iPod3,1 and iPhone2,1  – @planetbeing stepped up and provided a kernel exploit that covers both of those.  Those two JBers are the bomb!

    * The 5.1.1 A5 JB is very similar to the A5 5.0.1 JB.  @pimskeks has done a tremendous job supporting both 5.0.1 and 5.1.1 in absinthe

    * Similar to 5.0.1, there will also be a 5.1.1 CLI “cinject” binary and redsn0w version of the 5.1.1 JB+untether.  Absinthe, cinject, and redsn0w will all provide the same JB in different fashions.  – timing is indeterminate.  Plans are for this week, but a number of factors can influence that.

    * For those wishing to donate, we’ve set up a new 5.1.1 paypal URL

    * Please don’t pirate AppStore apps (seriously, please do not).

The release of the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 is almost done and it is working perfectly on the previous told iDevices. Still the support for Apple TV 3,1 is not yet included because it will take time. The upcoming Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 will be carrying the same method of CLI Injection that was used in iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2. The release of the Untethered Jailbreak is planned for this week, but a number of factors can influence the release.

The factors can be a new release by Apple or anything related to it. Anyways, this is the right time to update your iPhone, iPad to iOS 5.1.1. If you rely on unlock, stay away from the update and wait for the update of Redsn0w to make some support for the Baseband Preservation. Don’t accidentally update you iDevice because there wont be any unlock present for your Device.

Don’t forget to Donate via that PayPal link to help those hackers to continue the Jailbreak work.

  • iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak by Pod2g Releasing in Few Days

iOS 5.1.1 Untethered Jailbreak by Pod2g Releasing in Few Days

Like we told you before that the weekend fever started with some great Jailbreak news from the hacker @Pod2g who is actively working on the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 with the help of other members. Recently he updated the list of iDevices that will be supported for this upcoming Untethered Jailbreak and also tested the Untethered Jailbreak on those Devices with few of them were still remaining to test on with. The iDevices, iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G were at first excluded and later on they were also included in the upcoming Untethered Jailbreak by a new exploit found by them.

Today @Pod2g Tweeted on his Twitter account that the work is almost done with the help of @planetbeing and @pimseks, the release is around the corner.

@pod2g: Thanks to awesome work of @planetbeing and @pimskeks, we’re near ready for a release. Now it’s a matter of days.

Still the support for Apple TV 3 wont is included because it needs some real hard work to Untethered Jailbreak it. Now the release is in days, so you people must be thinking to update to iOS 5.1.1. We would suggest you to stay away from the update and wait for the update of this untethered jailbreak, then decide what to do. If you rely on an Unlock, don’t update to iOS 5.1.1 because there is no unlock for iOS 5.1.1 by any Ultrasn0w or from Gevey SIM people yet.

Those of who you are on iOS 5.1.1 are you people excited about the news of the Untethered Jailbreak coming in days. Do let  us know about your feelings by commenting below.

  • Pod2g Updates the List of Untethered Jailbreak Testing Devices

Pod2g Updates the List of Untethered Jailbreak Testing Devices

The weekend fever started with some more great news from the Jailbreaking community. We all know that, @pod2g is actively working for the untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4S, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPhone 4 and older Devices. Few days back, @pod2g announced that the Untethered Jailbreak wouldn’t be supporting iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G on iOS 5.1.1 because the exploit they founded wasn’t working for these two devices. This was strange news for the users waiting for the untethered jailbreak owning these devices. They might have been hurt a little bit or might have lost the hope of Jailbreak on later iOS version of iOS 5.1.1.

Pod2g, today Tweeted on his Twitter account that he has found another way by which the iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G can be Untethered jailbroken. The testing is remaining. This was a great news and a new hope for people owing an iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G. He didn’t only announced about the support of the Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 3GS and iPod 3G, he also updated his blog with the following iDevices on which the testing is done and they are ready to go.

Here is the list of devices that are known to work for sure:
    ·                iPhone 4

    • iPhone 4S
    • iPad 1
    • iPad 2 Wifi
    • iPad 3 Wifi
    • iPad 3 CDMA
    • iPod 3G
    • iPod 4G

    The remaining iDevices are:

Remains to test (but that should work):

    • iPhone 3Gs
    • iPad 2 GSM
    • iPad 2 CDMA
    • iPad 2 Wifi, R2
    • iPad 3 Global
    • AppleTV 2

Above are the iDevices that are remaining for testing. The testing of Untethered Jailbreak on iOS 5.1.1 is yet to be done on them. Though @pod2g expects that the Untethered Jailbreak should work on them also.

The above list contains iPad 2 WIFI-R2 that is the new version of the iPad 2 released by Apple. This new version might got some changes in it, but we hope that there are no major changes done in the hardware of this new iPad 2 WIFI R2.

Still the Untethered Jailbreak needs to be tested thoroughly, so when it lands, it should be safe enough to work. Where the Untethered Jailbreak is on the verge, the support for Apple TV 3 wont be included in this release of the Untethered Jailbreak.

Here is the list of devices that won’t be supported:

    • AppleTV 3

There is no such good reason told by the hackers for dropping out the Apple TV 3 support. We think that the hardware is new of the Apple TV 3, so it would take time to hack into it. Lets not loose our hope into this Jailbreaking community because anything is possible.

  • SBSettings Like App for MAC OS X Called Quick Toggle (Review)

SBSettings Like App for MAC OS X Called Quick Toggle (Review)

Almost every one of you having an iPhone must be aware of the awesome tweak called SBSettings, the Jailbreak Tweak from Cydia by which you can do amazing things by just one swipe. You can put on many actions using Activator, the part of the Tweak and you can restart your iPhone, power off it, respring it, and you can do much more than you ever expected from an iPhone. SBSettings these days is a great helper for iPhone competing with its competitor Tweak called BBSettings. BBSettings provides more function than the SBSettings; still some of the people are very compatible with SBSettings.

Like this, Marriellen Sheridan, the developer inspired by this Jailbreak Tweak called SBSettings made a same App for MAC OS X called Quick Toggles, that allows a user to have some of the matching functions on their MAC OS X, like they have on their iPhone with SBSettings. Not all the features of SBSettings would be found in this App because it has just been released two days back and a lot of work will be required to integrate all the same functions as SBSettings for MAC OS X.

Anyhow the App, Quick Toggles allows you perform complex tasks in an easy way with the help of a simple click in the status bar. With Quick Toggles installed on your MAC OS X, you can do many things like show IP Address of the Network you are connected on, CPU Stats, RAM Stats, App Shortcuts, see System Information, control iTunes, and much more.

Quick Toggle allows you free up the RAM that is not in use, also allows you to clear the DNS Cache, got the dedicated iTunes button by which you can play, skip, pause a song, and it got App Shortcuts for those App, which we use, in our daily busy life. The Apps are, Mail.App, Internet, System Preferences, and Text Edit.

You get all the settings under one icon of Quick Toggles for your MAC OS X.

The App was released on 14th of May and we may consider it in its beta stages. We hope that the future update of this App brings more new features in the App for the MAC OS X.

The App costs $2.59 in the New Zealand MAC App Store. You can download the App from MAC App Store from here.

Before you plan to buy this App, you can see the video of this App in action of MAC OS X:
