  • Apple Released OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 (12D38) to Developers

Apple Released OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 (12D38) to Developers

The internal testing of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 proceeded further today when Apple released a new build of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 (12D38). This new build of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 arrived after the first beta release of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 (12D38) that was released back on November 27. In that build of (12D32), Apple asked the developers to focus on Game Centre, Airport Utility, Airplay, and Graphic Drivers. Where as in this new build of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3, Apple didn’t released any change log with it. Therefore, the changes made in this build or added any thing new in this build is unknown.

    download_os_x_mountain_lion_10_8_3_12d38

As the beta testing of OS X Mountain Lion is being done internally, we cannot grab the change log of this build even if it is provided by Apple because the fruit company had asked the beta testers to register for the pre-testing of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 before it could be released.

However, the important thing noted by 9to5mac about this build is the number of the build. The number of this newly released OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 Build is (12D38) that is exactly an addition of the number six in the preceding version of the build named, OS X Mountain Lion (12D32). The previous build of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 was numbered (12D32), where as this new build is numbered (12D38). It means that Apple has gone through exactly six builds of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3, out of which they passed the sixth build and released it for Developers later today.

Until now, no time for the release of OS X Mountain Lion has been scheduled; we expect this new build to make an appearance some time soon.

  • Alleged iPhone 5S Images Leaked Prior to 2013’s Official launch

Alleged iPhone 5S Images Leaked Prior to 2013’s Official launch

It is very early to even think about the iPhone 5S because Apple hasn’t launched the iPhone 5 properly around the globe. The age of the iPhone 5 is almost three years old that is not even equal to the traditional one year of age. In the month of December, Apple has some plans to expand the iPhone 5 sales to further fifty more countries, which can be in danger now because of this fresh iPhone 5S rumor. This is not the first rumor about the iPhone 5S that we will be hearing about, this would be the second rumor regarding the iPhone 5S.

The first rumor regarding the iPhone 5S surfaced in the third week of November stating that the iPhone 5S would go into trial production in December along with early 2013 unveiling. This early rumor of the iPhone 5S now seems to be legit because a website forum called iPhone5parts leaked the backside shell of the alleged iPhone 5S. The backside shell of the iPhone 5S is similar as of the iPhone 5. There is only a minor difference between both of them. The iPhone 5’s and the iPhone 5S rear shell portrays a change in the position of screws and sides as shown in the picture below:

    ipone_5s_images_leaked

However, the back panel of the iPhone 5S is similar as of the existing iPhone 5. It is widely expected that this unit could be a high copy of the iPhone 5 made by Chinese or it can be a testing unit by Apple that went into wrong hands. As for now, the authenticity of this claim cannot be verified. It is too early to say anything about this iPhone 5S image leaked. Like always, the time will take us to the perfect rumors and perfect leaks for the iPhone 5S. As always, this time also expect an arrival of the iPhone 5S by Apple. Apple had released iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4S, and now iPhone 5S after iPhone 5.

In other words, we can say that Apple has setup a trend of the “S” series in the lineup of the iPhone’s. The year after the initial launch of an iPhone, there is a “S” Series waiting for it to come the next year of the preceding launch.

While we are confirming the authenticity of the iPhone 5S images leaked today, stay tuned with us for more information, and don’t believe in this leaked image for the time being. It is possible that the leaked image could be of the iPhone 5S because Apple has kept the same Design in past for the “S” Series with some minor hardware changes.

If you are planning to buy an iPhone 5, we would recommend you to wait for sometime because the iPhone 5S rumors have started to emerge and we don’t want our readers to get annoyed because they bought an iPhone 5 recently. The iPhone 5S wont come soon. Therefore, relax and stay up to date with all the latest rumors.

  • Instagram for iOS might be leaking your Private Pictures – Warning

Instagram for iOS might be leaking your Private Pictures – Warning

On April 9, 2012, Instagram the most popular image sharing Application for iOS and Android was acquired by the most famous social network called Facebook for the sum of $1 Billion. After the acquisition of Instagram by Facebook, it was believed that the name of the App would be changed to the App its self would be eliminated after integrating with Facebook. However, the elimination or integration never happened for each other. The C.E.O of Facebook Zuckerberg, planned to keep Instagram as an independent application rather than merging it with Facebook. Indeed, it was decided that the company would work together to improve the stand a lone application of Instagram for iOS and Android.

Following the improvements and bugs fixing of Instagram App for iOS, the team left some bugs in the App for iOS that allows a hacker to breach into your private pictures with a man in the middle attack. This issue was found back in November by a hacker called Carlos Reventlov. Indeed, he was the one who made this attack back in November for Instagram App. On his was on testing the application for security vulnerability, he found this issue by his exploit and reported the officials on the spot.

    instagram_for_ios_vulnerability

As of today, the same hacker used the same exploit to see if the issue was fixed or not. Amazingly, the issue isn’t fixed by the company, although they were notified about this issue back in November. The vulnerability lies in the 3.1.2 version of the Instagram App for iOS that was released back on October 23.

    According to Carlos:

“When the victim starts the Instagram app, a plain-text cookie is sent to the Instagram server,” Reventlov wrote. “Once the attacker gets the cookie he is able to craft special HTTP requests for getting data and deleting photos.”

This attack works with the man-in-the-middle hacking technique in which the hacker and the victim can be on the same LAN. Once the hacker is able to grab the cookies file, he can delete, add, download, and do much more with your photos with account.

You can see the complete details of the attack from here.

This is strange that no one from Facebook or Instagram has responded to this issue until now. If they keep on delaying the issue, many people will lose their accounts and images in no time. We never know about an increment in the number of attackers. We hope the officials respond to this threat as soon as people.

  • Download iOS 6.1 Beta 3 Seeded by Apple for Developers (Download Links)

Download iOS 6.1 Beta 3 Seeded by Apple for Developers (Download Links)

Everything is being done on a slow pace by Apple in this fast moving era of technology. At first Apple used to release new iOS Beta versions after two weeks of the preceding launch and these days, Apple is not in the mood to follow the previous trend of releasing the iOS Beta versions after two weeks. No doubt, it tool Apple sometime to release the future of iOS with limited number of builds, but as soon as the iOS 6 arrived, rumors started to appear on the internet claiming about iOS 6.0.1 for a fix for iOS Maps that were screwed in iOS 6.

Eventually, we did saw this widely speculated iOS 6.0.1 build with a new version of iOS 6.1 Beta 1 making an appearance before iOS 6.0.1 could debut. It was highly expected that the issue of Maps would be resolved in this iOS 6.0.1. Unfortunately, the issue persisted. After getting iOS 6.1 Beta 2 Build on October 1, we cam across a strange news flying over the internet like a free bird that Apple has made some improvements to its own Maps App for iOS.

However, later today after a month and a half, Apple realized that they need to launch the third version of its iOS 6.1 beta that is iOS 6.1 Beta 3 with no such major changes.

    download_ios_6_beta_3

The major changes made in iOS 6.1 were done in its first Beta version. The MapsKit was improved and SIRI functionality was improved as well in the first beta of iOS 6.1. Other than these two changes, no such major changes have been noticed in iOS 6.1 beta 3.

As this build is limited to developers only, therefore the developers can head over to Dev-Centre from here and download the iOS 6.1 Beta 3.

Those who don’t have the Developers Account should wait for us to find and post some working links.
