Microsoft Rolls out Surface Software Update with Advances (Download)

Following the launch of Microsoft Surface on October 26 along side Windows 8, today Microsoft issued the first ever software update for its Surface Tablet. This new software update improves the preceding negative impressions about the Microsoft Surface that it is sluggish and waste of money. These criticisms about the Surface were forwarded by some of the early adopters of Surface whose experience with this Surface Tablet didn’t go well after using official Apps from the Windows Store and Third Party Apps from different sources.

This major change of improvement of Apps and performance was first noted by Tom Warren of The Verge who stated that he installed several Windows RT’s and then compared the unpatched versions with this new-patched version of Surface Tablets. While he was doing the comparison, he found out vast improvement between both of the tests. The Surface Tablet with patched Firmware update that released today worked way faster and smooth than the preceding unpatched version of Surface Tablet Software update.

I managed to install seven Windows RT updates today on my Surface RT and I compared the system to an unpatched one and noticed improvements in app launch times.

However, the issue with audio shuttering hasn’t been looked at in this update. Other than this issue, the security patches that were found earlier have been fixed by Microsoft in this latest Software update of Surface Tablet.

You can download all the latest updates of Microsoft Surface Tablet from here. It is mandatory to update your Surface Tablet whenever the update is available.

Back in October Apple released the Next Big Things, “iPhone 5” and in the last week of September, Apple released many new products starting from the iPad Mini to iPad Fourth Gen with improved Display and new features. All of these products made the life of Application Developers a bit miserable because they needed to update their Apps on time to gain more sales and to endure a better customer experience.

    skype_for_the_iphone_5_update

Like ways, Skype pushed out the first update mentioning updated for the iPhone 5 and iOS 6, as it wasn’t updated for the iPhone 5 completely. This new update for the iPhone 5 raised many voices against Skype and rated them as low as people could on the App Store. This was the first Troll update that Skype rolled out for the iPhone 5 users.

The day before, Skype was updated to support the taller display of the iPhone 5 with some minor bugs fixed. This was the second troll update that Skype could make. Instead of releasing one update for the iPhone 5 support, Skype released two updates only to support the iPhone 5 with different wordings.

  • After Google, its Nokia “HERE” Coming to iOS and Android Soon

After Google, its Nokia “HERE” Coming to iOS and Android Soon

Following the preceding report of Google MAPS Submitted to the App Store awaiting Approval, today Nokia announced that they are coming with a new Application called “HERE.” This new Application is not any social or business App; indeed, it is a MAPS Application with more advanced and technical features made for iOS and Android platforms. This new MAPS Application “HERE” wont is a complete native App, as it would be made on HTML5. This new “HERE” MAPS Application will feature voice-guided walking directions and some of the offline features.

This is indeed a smart move by Nokia to release an iOS and Android MAPS App. Nokia the handset manufacturer was looking forward to make some space in this era of advance technology by combining with Microsoft to make Windows Phone compatible handsets, but couldn’t achieve its target. Therefore, Nokia changed the move and opted to make an Application that will work on cross platforms. As the Google MAPS is awaiting Approval in the App Store for iOS, Nokia in a press release today stated that:

San Francisco, California – Today Nokia introduced HERE, the first location cloud to deliver the world’s best maps and location experiences across multiple screens and operating systems. With the new brand, HERE, Nokia aims to inspire a new generation of location services and devices that make the mobile experience more personally significant for people everywhere… To further extend its location services, Nokia is launching a maps application for iOS under the HERE brand.

    nokia_here_maps_app

This new “HERE” MAPS Application would be arriving in the App Store and on Google Play Market after some time. We don’t promise about the App Store because Apple got some stict policies lined up for the Applications Approval. Other than iOS, we can assure “HERE” Arrival on Android because Android accepts the Applications easily. We would be seeing this “HERE” App on Android sooner than iOS or the same time. This new upcoming “HERE” MAPS for iOS would be a great App for iOS Users because after the release of iOS 6 in which Apple integrated its own faulty MAPS, people opted to go for alternative MAPS App rather than the official iOS 6 MAPS App.

After hearing the news of iOS 6 faulty MAPS, Google played its move by submitting the MAPS App on the App Store, which is currently being viewed or held for moderation. Even before Google could play its move, the former C.E.O of Apple, Tim Cook posted an Apology over the MAPS App and listed some competitors MAPS App in the list in which one of the name was of Nokia MAPS App.

However, beating out the competition, Apple is continuously working to improve its own MAPS App in the upcoming iOS 6.1. The preceding release of iOS 6.1 beta 1 showed some improvements in the official iOS MAPS App. Later on in iOS 6.1 beta 2, no words were said on the MAPS App for iOS. Combating the MAPS issue in iOS, the question to be raised in minds of millions of people would be regarding the Approval of Google MAPS and “HERE” Maps from Nokia by Apple would be done or not. In order to comment on this thinking, we would need to wait for some time because Apple is unpredictable. It can Approve and Disapprove the two major MAPS App and vice versa.

A part from the approval or disapproval, we ask you about Why not to have three Major MAPS Apps on one single Platform. If we can get these three major Maps App on iOS only, this would be the another reason to love iOS because you will be having Three Major MAPS Applications under one roof. Do let us know what do you people think about this statement.

  • iPhone 5S to go in Fabrication in December with Sales to Begin in 2013

iPhone 5S to go in Fabrication in December with Sales to Begin in 2013

The era of iPhone 5 is about to end in few months because Apple is planning to unveil the precede version of the existing iPhone in forthcoming few months. The upcoming version of the iPhone would be called the iPhone 5S. This time it looks like Apple has gone mad. They are going to release an updated version of the iPhone 5 that they launched hardly 3 months back in the forthcoming months. The news about the iPhone 5S comes from Chinese language commercial times. The report states that Apple would be heading towards the iPhone 5S trial production as early as December.

Facing low yield rates in the production of iPhone 5, Apple has accelerated the certification processes for related parts and components for the iPhone 5S, the paper revealed.

The iPhone 5S trial production would be starting earlier than we expected it to begin. However, the same Chinese newspaper also claims that the iPhone 5S mass volume production is expected to begin in the 1stQuarter of 2013. Incase the news is true or some what accurate, then we might be seeing the iPhone 5S at Apple’s first Media Event of 2013 that will be probably the month of January or February. Apple usually releases the successors of the iPhone on annual basis. Apple released the first iPhone 2G in summers 2007 and then stabilized the launch sequence on annual basis. Due to the launch sequence of annual basis, many of us thought that the next iPhone would launch in fall of 2013.

    iphone_5_S_images

The launch of iPhone 5S in next years First Quarter makes a little bit sense because Apple recently released two new versions of the iPad in the month of October that were highly expected to arrive in 2013 at Apple’s Media Event. However, lets not put our faith in this news of the iPhone 5S release for first quarter of 2013 because the previous records of Commercial Times regarding Apple have been speckled as noted by Macrumors.

Samsung Paid $0.5M More Than Apple To Red Cross for Sandy Relief Work

Sandy, Hurricane/Super Storm Sandy affected the east coast line of United States last week. Super Storm Sandy came from the sea nearer to Mexico and affected many areas of the continent America. After the Sandy’s aftermath the government calculated and published the reports in which more than $30 Million is required to come over the losses occurred. This storm also affected the New York Stock Exchange and forced it to be closed for consecutive two days since the year 1888. The aftermath of the Super Storm Sandy was not terrific but was horrible, the cities near the east coast line were majorly destroyed; the beaches, sea sites, and other sea approaches were completely vanished.

After the Super Storm Sandy the donations quickly started from all over the America and the globe but yet we know that the government of United States can recover the cities on their own money but people still love to help people to get prayers from the affected people. The power cut is still moving up in the Sandy affected areas. A minor part of Canada’s well-known city Toronto was also affected by Super Storm Sandy but the complete recovery of the Sandy’s aftermath is on the Red Cross Relief covering all the places where the Super Storm Sandy affected.

    Sandy_samsung

Many of the major companies have donated a huge amount of money to the Red Cross Relief and our Cupertino Company ‘Apple’ donated $2.5 Million to the Sandy affected people. Following Apple, the great competitor of Apple, Samsung donated $0.5 Million more than Apple i.e. $3 Million to the Red Cross Relief did. Samsung please donate the amount that your heart wants to, not run forward copying other companies but you have already donated. The donation is made by Samsung United States, the headquarters is present itself in the city of New Jersey. Y.K. Kim, President, and CEO of Samsung Electronics North America said

New Jersey has been home to Samsung’s U.S. headquarters since we established our business here in 1982 and our region has been the hardest hit by this disaster, Samsung’s first priority has been to ensure the safety and security of our U.S. employees and their families. Now it is important that we provide assistance to our neighbors.

We are glad to see that both the Tech Giant competitors have taken a step forward to donate some amount out their reserves/earnings for the victims of Hurricane Sandy Relief work by the American Red Cross. Lets wait and see about the remaining large tech companies like Google and Microsoft, what they come up with.
