  • Apple Patched Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak Exploit in iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2

Apple Patched Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak Exploit in iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2

The cat and mouse game between iOS Hackers and Apple is finally over. Apple has won the war once again by fixing the initial Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak exploit in its iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2 release. The iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2 was released by Apple this past week and before that Apple released iOS 6.1.2 to fix issues with Exchange bug along with battery issues for iPhone/iPod/iPad. With the release of iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2, Apple has not only patched the Evasi0n exploit, indeed Apple has made it difficult for iOS Hackers to Jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 because the security level has increased for iOS in this new iOS 6.

The main focus of Apple in iOS 6.1.3 is to bring out some changes for the Japanese Maps and to fix the most viral unlock screen bug that was founded in iOS 6.1, iOS 6.1.1, and iOS 6.1.2. As of now, the viral unlock screen bug seems to be fixed along with Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak exploit. The reports of Evasi0n fix comes from the upfront member of Evad3rs, @Planetbeing who told Forbes that Apple has patched one exploit out of five with the release of iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2. The exploit that has been fixed by Apple breaks the rhythm of Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak on iOS 6.1.3.

Wang tells me that he’s analyzed the 6.1.3 beta 2 update and found that it patches at least one of the five bugs the jailbreak exploits, namely a flaw in the operating system’s time zone settings. The beta update likely signals the end of using evasi0n to hack new or updated devices after the update is released to users, says Wang, who says he’s still testing the patch to see which other vulnerabilities exploited by the jailbreak might no longer exist in the new operating system.

As told by Planetbeing, if vulnerability doesn’t works, the whole program of Evasi0n will not work. Therefore, we will need to look for more vulnerability to replace that patched exploit by Apple or we will need to start from scratch for the Untethered Jailbreak.  Planetbeing also notes that the chances are high that Apple might patch all the available exploits when iOS 6.1.3 rolls out for Public. However, it is early to say anything about the exploits going to be patched or not.

The fixing of Evasi0n Exploit in iOS 6.1.3 doesn’t puts the tool to an end or it doesn’t puts the era of Untethered Jailbreak to an end. The work will carry on the Untethered Jailbreak by Evad3rs as soon as iOS 6.1.3 is out for public. It will take a while to release the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 because the Evad3rs would require some time to find the exploits or test the existing exploits.

  • Samsung Galaxy S4 March 14 Release Date Confirmed by Samsung – Teaser

The release of Samsung Galaxy S4 on March 14 is rock firm. The time has come to say good-bye to all the rumors that were speculating about the upcoming Galaxy S4 for March 14 and we must say a big Thanks to them for speculating such alleged news that helps the reader to stay up to date prior to official announcement. samsung_galaxy_s4_release_date_march_14

The release date we speculated was of March 14 and today Samsung Tweeted on its official Twitter account with a teaser of Mobile Unpacked event taking place on the same date. According to the teaser teased by Samsung for the upcoming Media Event of Unpacked on March 14, the slogan chosen by Samsung clearly hint towards the arrival of 4 because the slogan says “Get Ready 4 The Show.” This clearly means that Samsung has got another Flagship of Galaxy S Series waiting to be unveiled on March 14.

The affirmation of Samsung Galaxy S4 might not be surprising any more because we already know about the features and tech specs of the upcoming Galaxy S4. These things were leaked months prior to official announcement. Therefore, there is nothing to get excited about in Galaxy S4.  Though there is a thing to worry about in Galaxy S4 and the thing is the processor of Galaxy S4 that will not be made by Samsung.

The processor that Samsung planned to equip in Galaxy S4 was of EXYNOS and the processor that is going to come in Galaxy S4 will be of Snapdragon because EXYNOS was having some heating issues due to which Samsung dropped the support of it and opted for Snapdragon. At this moment, there is nothing to worry about Galaxy S4 because the story of processor is semi-confirmed. it is assumed that Snapdragon processor will give an outclass performance because the same processor with a bit low-speed is being used in HTC ONE that was recently announced.

Moreover, the specifications of Samsung Galaxy S4 are:

    – 4,99″ Full-HD SoLux Display
    – Snapdragon 600 1.9 Ghz
    – 2 GB RAM
    – 16, 32 or 64 GB

In order to make it spicy, we have already seen the real-time model of Galaxy S4 that was leaked prior to launch on March 14. The image of the leaked Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 is present here with complete details.

  • Samsung Working on a Smart Watch Called Galaxy Altius – Images Leaked

Samsung Working on a Smart Watch Called Galaxy Altius – Images Leaked

Samsung previously rumored the codename Altius to be of Galaxy S IV that is going to arrive in next month. According to the recent reports from SlashGear, the codename Altius is not of Galaxy S IV, indeed the code name of Altius is of a Smart Watch by Samsung called Galaxy Altius. The arrival of this Smart Watch is not confirmed because only few spy shots have ben leaked from the Korean message Board. The leaked images of Samsung Galaxy Altius puts on some weight to the heavily rumored iWatch by Apple in a way that Apple is planning to make an iWatch due to which Samsung has started to give some thoughts on a smart watch this year.

According to the leaked image above, it cannot be determined about what OS Samsung is planning to run on this Smart Watch. The OS running on this smart watch cannot be determined because the OS running on this smart watch isn’t clear. It is assumed that Samsung might have planned on making an in house OS to test on this smart watch and to run an Android OS on a smart watch isn’t complicated these days.

Moreover, on the top right corner, you can see the sign of SKT Korean Telekom running on this smart watch screen. This could mean that Altius might be able to run on its own data connection or help in tethering other devices via data connection. It is believed that Altius will feature a 500X500 Pixel resolution display.

Apple Released iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2 (10B318) for Developers Only

Few days a go Apple released iOS 6.1.2 to fix the Exchange Calendar bug that was found in iOS 6.1 and today Apple seeded a new Beta build of iOS 6.1.3 (10B318) that was supposed to be called iOS 6.1.1 Beta 2. The first beta build of iOS 6.1.3 was called iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 because Apple had released iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1 when the issue of Exchange Calendar bug went large and started to create issues for the users. Therefore, in emergency case Apple had to release this new version of iOS 6.1.2 putting aside the preceding beta build of iOS 6.1.1 Beta 1.

As of now, the Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 6.x.x and the lock screen bug are not patched in iOS 6.1.2. Therefore, expect a fix for these things in iOS 6.1.3.

  • Sony Unveils PlayStation 4 – Images and Details

Sony Unveils PlayStation 4 – Images and Details

Last night Sony held a Media Event called PlayStation 2013 on which it was highly expected that Sony would be unveiling the successor of PlayStation 3 that is PlayStation 4. During the Media Event, Sony showed the name of PlayStation 4 on the screens, but never came up with a physical gaming console until the end of the event. The Japanese make did announced few features of the upcoming gaming console with few of the upcoming titles to be released with PlayStation 4, but again PlayStation 4 was not present on the Media Event. The event started at 6:00 PM EST and ended at 8:30PM EST.

In total, the event took full advantage of two hours and thirty minutes in which Sony only showed the game play on the GPU of PS 4, announced some innovative features for PS 4, demoed the controller of PS 4, and made every one asleep indirectly. Every one was hoping that they would see PlayStation 4 by Sony; unfortunately the dream stayed a dream. We can say that Sony consumed a lot of time to show off the tittles and features that were leaked prior to official launch.

    playstation_4_images

At the start of the event, when the C.E.O of Sony took the stage to announce PlayStation 4, the Controller of PlayStation 4 was demoed to the audience first, then the features of the controller were demoed and then the show of tittle started with the demo of every new one coming to PlayStation 4 after its released.

Coming towards the announcement of the dual shock PlayStation 4 Controller, it was of the same design that was leaked months before official unveiling. It featured the same touch pad, sharing button, a speaker, and a MIC built into it. The images of the dual sock controller were leaked months before; therefore the real-time announcement of the dual shock controller didn’t surprise any one. Every one was aware of the design f the dual shock controller and features as well.

In addition to changes made to the controller for PlayStation 4, Sony also introduced a feature of Eye for PlayStation 4. The feature of Eye might sound new but it is old and has been used in PSP, PSP GO, and its predecessors. This Eye Camera might get some new functions for the PlayStation 4.

    playstation_4_eye_ps4

However, cooping up with the additional accessories for PlayStation 4, the technical details that emerged for PlayStation 4 were an AMD processor X66 Jaguar eight-core with 8GB RAM GDDR5 coupled with a new AMD Radeon graphics chip, a floppy disk and features a Blu-Ray/DVD drive whose capacity has not been provided (probably 32GB and 64GB depending on model).

What Happened to PlayStation 4 Console?

As we all know that Sony didn’t announced the hardware side of PlayStation 4 that is they didn’t showed the PlayStation 4 its self. Therefore, the question is that what happened to PlayStation 4. Why wasn’t it revealed?

    playstation_4_meme

The above image says it all. We don’t need to go into further more details for the PlayStation 4 Console absent at the event.
