Apple Recruiting People to Expand SIRI to Nine More Languages
The release of OS X 10.9 seems to be prominent because Apple is planning to expand its SIRI Language network to additional six languages. Recently we told you about the two features that were leaked in wild the day before of OS X 10.9. Out of those two features, SIRI was one of the major that is highly expected to arrive in OS X 10.9 and as of today, it seems that Apple is planning to do a deep integration of SIRI in OS X 10.9. This deep integration of SIRI in OS X 10.9 is not confirmed or rock firm because the beta build hasn’t surfaced the Internet yet and is being tested internally.

However, we can say that it is Semi-Confirmed or partially confirmed about the arrival of SIRI in OS X 10.9. The partial or semi confirmation comes from no one other than Apple who posted a recruitment drive on its website looking for people who are Native or fluent in Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Korean, Norwegian, Swedish, and fluent in English.

This new job listing on Apple’s Website appeared on November 13, 2012. The job listing doesn’t emphasize directly on SIRI, but a part of the job description says it all. Before a person is placed on the job, the Cupertino tech giant will offer the person from above stated language an internship opportunity of six-months and then the person would be hired to work with Apple on its SIRI project.

Join the team responsible for delivering Siri in different parts of the world for an exciting 6-month internship in Cupertino, California.

After seeing the job summary, we can expect an expansion of SIRI to be made in several different languages starting some time soon. This recruiting by Apple for SIRI only hints towards an expansion of its virtual assistant for iOS Devices as well. As we, all know that SIRI is currently supported in the following languages:
1. Chinese (Cantonese, Hong Kong, Mandarin, China, Taiwan)
2. English (Australia, Canada, U.K, U.S)
3. French (Canada, France, Switzerland)
4. German (Germany, Switzerland)
5. Italian (Italy, Switzerland)
6. Japanese
7. Korean
8. Spanish (Mexico, Spain, U.S)
We can expect the arrival of these nine additional languages in the upcoming iOS 6.1 or in iOS 7. Apple had released second Beta of iOS 6.1 few weeks ago and now we should be expecting another iOS 6.1 Beta some time soon. Lets see if it brings any changes to SIRI or not. The chance of additional languages to arrive in iOS 6.1 seems to be very low. Therefore, don’t expect these nine languages coming in iOS 6.1.

The approval of Nokia “Here” Maps by Apple is done in just seven days after the news surface on the Internet that Nokia is planning to release its own Maps App for iOS and Android. This new Nokia “HERE” Maps App got released today for iOS only and the Android Version of the Nokia “HERE” Maps might be in progress by the company. This fast approval of Nokia “HERE” Maps for iOS by Apple make us go in some doubt because the biggest competitor of both the companies in regards of Maps, Google was in the lead for making the Maps App and submitting them to the App Store.

Amazingly, Nokia “HERE” Maps was approved before Google Maps could get a green signal to go live in the App Store. Two OS X 10.9 Features Leaked Ahead of 2013 Official Launch

The unnamed build of OS X 10.9 is in beta stages and is been tested by the early adopters of this precious build by Apple. The beta testing of OS X 10.9 hasn’t started at large; it is only available to very limited number of testers chosen by Apple to test the build before it is released for further testing next year. Previously we told you about a new build of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3 to be seeded to AppleSeed group around November 26. The change log of this new build OS X 10.8.3 is still unknown because it isn’t released yet. It is expected that Apple will fix some issues that were found in the current build of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

Even before the news of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3, we told you about the mass testing of OS X 10.9 are underway by Apple. This information of OS X 10.9 was leaked by Google Analytics back in October. However, today new news surfaced the Internet stating that SIRI and MAPS might be coming with OS X 10.9 to the Family of MAC’s. The report comes from 9to5mac’s reliable sources that told them about the integration of SIRI and Apple Maps will be making its way in OS X 10.9 for the family of MAC’s by Apple.

Early builds in testing of the next-generation Mac operating system, OS X 10.9, point to Siri and Maps integration coming to Mac computers next year.

The SIRI’s voice command software is said to be much like the New iPad Model’s running iOS 6. At this time, it is very early to confirm the arrival of SIRI in OS X 10.9 for MAC’s. If SIRI passes the early testing phase for all the testers, then only we can expect the arrival of SIRI in OS X 10.9. It is highly anticipated that SIRI might not come for all the users on OS X because Apple has given SIRI availability on newer iPhone’s, iPod’s, and iPad’s running iOS 6. The old iDevices were thrown out of the list. Apple might do the same by limiting the feature of SIRI in OS X 10.9 for newer MAC’s only.

Another add-on with SIRI, Apple is planning to integrate its scandalous MAPS framework into OS X 10.9. The addition of Maps Framework in OS X 10.9 will be done to integrate the Maps Framework with the Apps for MAC on the MAC App Store. The developers would be able to use Maps Framework in their Apps made for MAC. The authenticity about Maps feature for OS X 10.9 cannot be validated. However, it goes for Maps as well. The Maps Framework has to pass the early beta testing to be featured in OS X 10.9. It is assumed that Apple might be planning to release a standalone Maps App of its own in the MAC App Store in OS X 10.9.

We can say that the things sold on this Black Friday are almost Free because they account for very less amount.

As the Black Friday draws near, Apple has started to E-Mail the teaser of its products by sending out a teaser to several users around the globe. Later today, Apple sent out the teaser to New Zealand users stating,

“This Friday, there’s something for every one including you.”

Apple has asked every one to prepare the wish list for the upcoming Friday because there’s something for you as well for others. This one day Apple shopping event will take place on Friday, 23 November. The prices for the shopping event would be available on November 23 from 4:01 a.m. to 24 November, 2012, 3:59 a.m. in NZST.

OS X 10.8.3 Will be Seeded to AppleSeed on November 26 for Testing

Apple is planning to release a new build of OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion this year. The firm release date for OS X 10.8.3 hasn’t surfaced the Internet yet, but the first Beta Testing date for this new build of OS X 10.8.3 with unknown changes has surfaced the Internet. In the preceding month of October, Apple informed the external OS X testers group called AppleSeed about the upcoming OS X 10.8.3 build testing release to be done soon. Later today, Apple informed the same AppleSeed group about the previous message that it was sent to them early.

As noted by 9to5mac, the message sent by Apple to AppleSeed group for OS X 10.8.3 states:

The invites were sent out a little too early. We are working hard to provide you with a seed build soon, but we wanted to let you know that you have not missed any seed announcements. Please enjoy the USA Thanksgiving holiday! The seed team will be enjoying a break as well. Look for more information about the 10.8.3 seed during the week of November 26th!

In the letter above, Apple stated that the first Beta Version of OS X 10.8.3 would be released after thanks giving holidays, noticeably around November 26. Therefore, we can expect a beta of OS X 10.8.3 on November 26 or some where around this date. As usual, we don’t know about the changes that Apple is going to make in this new beta of OS X 10.8.3. We are very dependent on the AppleSeed Team. The ball is now in their court. It is up to them to reveal the change log or keep the change log secret.

We expect the change log to be unveiled as soon as AppleSeed group gets hands on this new build because when it comes to Apple, to leak the information about an upcoming product is the first priority of every one. To leak the information at first helps them to regain some PR in the world of rumors.

Galaxy S4 Release Date Scheduled at CES in Jan With 1080p Display & More

The trend of the mobile phone industry seems to be changing from smaller displays to larger displays. In the preceding months, Apple released an iPhone 5 with a taller display of a 4-inch. Following the launch of the iPhone 5, Samsung released small brother of the Galaxy S3 Flagship called Galaxy S3 Mini with a 4-inch display. However, the Galaxy S3 is packed with a 4.8-inch Super Amoled Display, but still Samsung announced a Mini Galaxy S3 with a 4-inch to compete with the iPhone 5. Soon after Galaxy S3 Mini was launched, we started to hear about Samsung Galaxy S IV. The rumors are very skeptical when it comes to mobile industry.

After releasing three different, smart phones in preceding months with different screen sizes of 4.0-inch, 4.8-inch, and 5.5-inch; Samsung is now planning to take the smart phone lineup to next level. This time the screen size with resolution would be changed. As we know that the smart phone industry is planning to move on to bigger screens of 4-inch and greater, where as Samsung is planning to reach the level of a 5-inch screen with 1920X1080p resolution.

The reports of this major innovation to be made by Samsung comes from Asia Economics reported by BGR about Samsung future plans of increasing the screen size from traditional 4.8-inch to 5-inch and moving the screen resolution from 720p to 1080p. The Galaxy S4 Release Date is set for Annual Consumer Electronics Show that will take place in January 2013. No specific time or date has been announced for the event to take place.

Asia Economics reported on Friday that Samsung is planning to introduce a smartphone with a large 1920 x 1080 resolution display at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in January.

Other than the name and size of Galaxy S4, the smart phone is said to be the Flagship of Galaxy S series having a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED Display that packs with 441ppi (pixels-per-inch). This means the Korean company is in full swing to beat the Apple’s iPhone Market because the latest Apple Gadget is packed with 326ppi (Pixels-Per-Inch) and the display is called the Retina Display.

Samsung is going to combat the traditional Retina Display of Apple by delivering a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED Display with 441ppi. The real competition starts soon after the Galaxy S4 is launched. It is believed that Samsung Galaxy S4 will be packed with quad-core Exynos processor and 4G LTE capabilities.

As for now it is very early to state anything regarding this rumor because Samsung has denied all the rumors regarding the Galaxy S4 Release Date and regarding any Galaxy S4 is in production by them or they have planned to release any new version of their Flagship series.
