  • Downgrade iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 6.0.x Honeymoon Period is Over

Downgrade iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 6.0.x Honeymoon Period is Over

Last night when every one stuck on iOS 6.1.3 was sleeping, Apple was accidentally signing iOS 6.0.x Versions. we were about to sign off from the work place, but we saw a tweet of ih8sn0w on twitter guiding to fire up iFaith to save iOS 6.0.x SHSH blobs because Apple is singing those iOS Versions accidentally or there must be some issue with the server that has opened the window of restoration from iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 6.0.x.

Those of you who were awake or had morning time at their end; they were lucky enough to downgrade iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 6.0.x version. Those of you, who were sleeping, lost the opportunity of downgrading the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad from iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 6.0.x. This sort of opportunity comes once in a blue moon by Apple or not in entire lifetime. We would name this opportunity as a Golden Opportunity because it is the first time in history that Apple started to sign iOS 6.0.x Firmwares for a limited time.

    apple_honey_moon

The time period of iOS signing was very limited. We think it was about an hour or three until Apple allowed the people to downgrade their devices and Jailbreak them on a previous iOS version.

However, Apple server team might be on a short holiday because the issue has been fixed and Apple is no longer signing iOS 6.0.x IPSW files. Therefore, there is no chance of downgrading back to iOS 6.0.x from iOS 6.1.3.

  • Apple Makes a Statement on Flight Attendant Electrocution by iPhone 5

Apple Makes a Statement on Flight Attendant Electrocution by iPhone 5

Better late than never. This is what we can say for Apple and its investigation team because they were looking into a case of a Chinese Flight Attendant, who was shocked to death by an iPhone 4 while it was on charge. This incident took place in China, when a 23 years Old Chinese woman was talking on the phone while charging her iPhone 4 (mostly called iPhone 5 by many people on the internet) got shocked with a DC 220V. This DC 220v led her rest in peace.

Not long after this incident, a new incident was reported against the same iPhone 4 that led a 30 Years Old Chinese Man into Coma after getting shocked by a counterfeit charger while he was charging his iPhone 4. When the DC 220v shocked him, he shouted and his brother was nearby who saved his life by turning of the switch on the spot. If there was a delay in turning of the switch, he would have been resting in peace like the Chinese Flight Attendant.

However, in the case of Chinese Flight Attendant, Apple and concerned authorities took an action to see the drawback or we can say that to see the main cause of this issue that lead to electrocution. Where as in the case of Chinese Man, the main cause was in front of every one and it was simple. The main cause was that he was using a counterfeit charger that led him to coma.

Hence, the case two of the Chinese Man was closed on the spot, where as case Apple was investigating one that was of the Chinese Woman. After few days of the incident, we reported about the Chinese Woman case that she was using a counterfeit charger that led to electrocution and the iPhone wasn’t iPhone 5, instead it was the iPhone 4. We have made a detailed report present here.

As of today, Apple came up with a new webpage on their Chinese Store website pointing out the difference between Original and Counterfeit charger.

Apple always put the user’s safety first, so all of our products are subject to stringent safety and reliability testing, and designed to meet government safety standards around the world, including for the iPhone and iPad USB power adapter.

This overview will help you identify genuine Apple USB power adapter. When you need to charge the iPhone or iPad, we recommend that you use the random standard USB power adapter and USB cable. These adapters and cables are also available separately from Apple and Apple Authorized Resellers.

In order to avoid future conflicts, electrocutions, and going into coma sort of situations, don’t use counterfeit chargers. This is for your own safety. Try to use original product and be safe from everything. Using a counterfeit product may save you some bucks, but it may risk your life-like it did for these two innocent people.

  • Apple Delayed iOS 7 Beta 4 Due to Developer Center Security Breach

Apple Delayed iOS 7 Beta 4 Due to Developer Center Security Breach

The tradition of releasing a new iOS Beta after two weeks of initial or previous release of the Beta is not going to work this time for iOS 7 Beta 4. People waiting for the iOS 7 Beta 4 to arrive today i.e. Monday, should not wait for the iOS & fourth beta because it might not make its way today. The official release time of iOS 7 Beta 4 is over and Apple might release it sometime afterwards that is sometime later today or few days from today.

The main reason behind delaying the Beta 4 of iOS 7 is the intrusion of Ibrahim Balic in Apple’s Developers Portal due to which the Dev Center was down for days. Many of you would be aware of the fact that Apple’s Dev Portal was down since a day or two due to a security breach done by Balic. Ibrahim Balic is a U.K Based security researcher who claimed that he saw 13 Bugs from its system while hunting Apple’s Dev Portal. Out of those 13 Holes, there was one hole that could let the data exposed from Apple’s Dev Center.

Moreover, Balic claims to have accessed the data of 100,00 users and didn’t exposed because his intention was not to hack or inject malicious codes in the system, indeed he wanted to help the company with security holes.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go the way Balic was thinking. Keeping his intentions clean while performing security research on Apple’s Dev Portal and identifying 13 holes, Apple on Thursday closed the Dev Portal after 4 hours of Balic’s access because they considered it as a security breach.

    dev_portal_apple_hack

The company said no words until Sunday on the mass outage of Dev Portal since Thursday.

As of now the Dev Portal is back and running smooth. Apple might have patched the holes that Balic pointed out for them.
