Alleged iPad Mini/Air Assembly Started at Foxconn Brazil

As the iPhone 5 touched down the market and is now available for sale in different countries worldwide, now it’s the time for iPad Mini/Air to rise and shine. The iPad Mini rumors went on a short tour around the world when the iPhone 5 was high in preceding days. Following the rumors from July, the iPad Mini rumors and leaks surfaced the Internet for a limited time and then went away with wind. The reason iPad Mini went away with the wind was because of the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 rumors were on the verge in preceding months, that no one bothered to see for the iPad Mini or wanted to see iPad Mini rumors. Every one was curious about the iPhone 5. It was highly anticipated that the iPad Mini will also share the stage with the iPhone 5 on September 12 unveiling, unfortunately it didn’t came.

On September 12, 2012, we only saw the iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5, iPod Nano, and color additions in the family of Apple iDevices. After the iPhone 5 got on sale, the iPad Mini/Air made a sudden appearance in the world of rumors. Starting from today, the iPad Mini made its first appearance by suggesting Media Invitations to be rolled out on October 10 for its unveiling. The iPad Mini unveiling is expected to hold on October 17 with early invitation for the Media Event to start rolling out on October 10. The sales for the iPad Mini/Air are expected to go live in the first week of November.

After getting all the release and Media Event predictions, another rumor enclosed by stating the iPad Mini/Air productions might have started at Foxconn industry in Brazil. The report of the iPad Mini/Air production comes from a reliable Japanese Blog, Macotakra stating that it has learned from its reliable sources about the iPad Mini/Air production has started at Foxconn Factory located in Brazil.

According to my source, iPad mini was started production in Brazilian factory. I don’t have information if it has been produced in Chinese factory, yet.

The source of the Japanese blog cites the information regarding the iPad Mini/Air production in Brazil and it is not sure about the production in China.

Moreover, the blog notes that the iPad Mini/Air units produced in Brazil are missing the Mic Hole in them. The same Mic Hole at the back of the iPad Mini/Air that was spotted several times in the previous leaked prototypes. This Mic Hole can be seen in the above picture. It is very early to say that if anything has been changed in the iPad Mini/Air or Apple has something else in their Heads.

  • How to Change Panorama Direction in iOS 6 on iPhone 5, iPhone 4S

How to Change Panorama Direction in iOS 6 on iPhone 5, iPhone 4S

One of the most amazing features that Apple introduced in iOS 6 was of Panorama. Apple introduced this feature for the iPhone 4S and for the iPhone 5 only. This is one of the amazing features in iOS 6 out of 200 new amazing features. The new feature of Panorama allows a person to shoot a photo up to 240 degrees. With this is one motion photo-capturing feature; the person can use it horizontally and vertically as well. The only thing that Apple didn’t told about this amazing feature is about the side changing of the Panorama feature. The side of the Arrow in Panorama can be changed easily without any hustle or nasty tricks.

This means the position of the arrow can be changed from the default (Left Side) to (Right Side) and vice versa. This trick was discovered by Alex Jordan of isource.

The other day I was fiddling around with the feature and discovered that the user can determine the direction of the pan.

While Jordan was playing with the Panorama Feature in iOS 6, he discovered the trick that Apple never told about Panorama in the features or any where on the Internet. This is something that they should have told to the user. We think Apple might not be aware of this fact of side switching in Panorama.

To get this trick on your iPhone, you need to have the following things:

    1. iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
    2. iOS 6

These are the only things that you need in order to achieve the goal of side switching. If you have an iPhone 4S and are on iOS 5.1.1, then we don’t recommend you to update to iOS 6 for this feature specially.

How to Change Panorama Direction in iOS 6

    Step 1:

Open the Camera.app and go into options available on the top.

    Step 2:

Now open that options and go into panorama mode.

    Step 3:

Once you are in the Panorama Mode, simply tap on the White Arrow to change the default direction of left to right to right to left and vice versa.

The steps were this simple. Don’t forget to comment below if you achieved this goal on your iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S or both.

  • iPad Mini Media Invites To Roll Out on October 10 With November Sales

iPad Mini Media Invites To Roll Out on October 10 With November Sales

With the start of a new month, we are back with a new rumor of alleged iPad Mini that was ruling the Internet before the iPhone 5 was launched. When the Media Invites for the iPhone 5 were issued to selected personal/journalists, until then the iPad Mini was on the verge for the release to be done along side iPhone 5. Unfortunately, we didn’t saw any iPad Mini Release with the iPhone 5. However, in the preceding months the iPad Mini was one of the hottest topics on the Internet until iPhone 5 got more popularity and people started to talk about the iPhone 5 more than the iPad Mini. Before the iPhone 5 could make an appearance in front of public, we told you about several rumors regarding the iPad Mini that were surfacing the web.

In the preceding months, we also came across the alleged leaked images of the internal parts of the iPad Mini that can be viewed over here. The leaked parts of the iPad Mini suggested the same 8-pin dock connector same as of the iPhone 5 and the same redesigned headphone jack at the bottom.  After these small citations about the iPad Mini, the rumors exited the market leaving behind the iPhone 5 for headlines. The iPad Mini rumors were out of the market for about a month, but now they are back on the Internet with some solid citations over the release date and sales date.

    ipad_mini_media_invites

Today a report from Fortune surfaced on the Internet citing a “Major Apple Investor”, who is claiming that Apple is preparing for the iPad Mini in the same month of October and expect Media Invites to be posted on October 10.

According to our source, who asked not be named, there appears to be some truth to the widespread rumors that Apple is preparing to launch a smaller and cheaper version of the iPad — often called the iPad mini or iPad air and usually described as having a 7.85-inch screen… What our source adds is the specificity of a date: The press, he says, can expect iPad Mini Media invites to go out on Oct. 10.

The author of Fortune, Phillip Elmer-Dewitt is well connected with Apple analysts and with the major investors of Apple. The rumors about October 10 for the media initiation roll out are coming from different reliable sources as well, as noted in the report. Incase the rumors turn out to be true, then we can expect the iPad Mini unveiling on October 17 with sales to start early November.

Back in the last week of August, we told you about news that was floating on the Internet like a viral disease suggesting that Apple will hold dual Media Events this fall. The report of dual Media Events came from two reliable sources suggesting the Media Event for iPhone 5 in September and another Media Event to follow for the iPad Mini in mid-October.

If we follow that rumor, we can expect another Media Event coming ahead in the month of October. At the upcoming Media Event, Apple might announce the iPad Mini with 7.85-inch screen to compete with low-end market competitors like Kindle Fire.

Facebook Messenger for iPhone gets a New Look with iPhone 5 Support

Facebook Developers are on the roll these days. They are updating the official Facebook Apps for iOS and Android within a month. If we compare the fresh performance with the past one, we had to wait for ages to get an update for Facebook and its Apps. Whenever Apple used to release a new iOS, we used to wait for about two-three months to have an update of Facebook App for iOS specially. Whenever the App used to get an update, it sued to get more buggy than the previous version. This tradition of Facebook continued for several years, but this year they changed the tradition by redesigning the Facebook App for iOS. The Developers at Facebook completely changed the look of Facebook App for iOS and Android and made it less buggy.

This new overhaul of Facebook made it more sleek and clean for the iOS users and Android users. After this major update of Facebook App, people started to love the App more than the website of Facebook. True but strange. This great love made Developers more motivated towards the work of Facebook App and its siblings.

Therefore, today Facebook updated its Facebook Messenger with a complete new look and with the support for the iPhone 5. In other words, Facebook Messenger got a new crispy look for the iPhone 5 on iOS. This new design makes the look of Facebook Messenger more sleek and clean. • Tim Cook Says to Use Google, Nokia, Bing or Other Maps for iOS 6

Tim Cook Says to Use Google, Nokia, Bing or Other Maps for iOS 6

After the release of the future of iOS, iOS 6,about 60% people owning an iPhone, iPod, iPad updated their Devices to iOS 6 to enjoy over 200 features. One of the best features in iOS 6 is of the Maps Turn by Turn Navigation, Voice integration, Flyover, and 3D. To achieve these features in Maps for iOS 6, Apple had to build the Maps application from the scratch and they had to ditch Google Maps for this sole cause, because Google Maps couldn’t be integrated to work with voice integration, flyover, and 3D. Therefore, Apple took an initiative to come up with its own Maps.app in iOS 6. While Apple was making or they were done making the Maps.app for iOS 6, they couldn’t get much time or whatever the scenario was due to which they left the Maps with many bugs.

However, iOS 6 was in Beta for a longtime and the G.M came about after 3 weeks of the iOS 6 beta 4 Launch. Apple might not have tested the Maps.app properly because of the main focus was on the integration of Facebook with iOS 6. This deep integration of Facebook in iOS 6 might have diverted Apple’s attention over other Apps in iOS 6 like Maps. The time when iOS 6 was announced, no one knew how buggy would it be. After updating to iOS 6 and using it on different Devices, people started to complain about the iOS 6 Maps. The iOS 6 Maps were totally screwed. They were showing inaccurate locations on the Maps. Many people might have been diverted from their original route by using iOS 6 Maps. This was a cool feature indeed in iOS 6.

    maps_for_ios_6

Later today, Tim Cook took an initiative to send out a letter to all those running iOS 6 and are affected by the Maps for iOS 6 explaining the reason behind the Maps for iOS 6 acting weird. In other words, we can say that Apple is fully aware of the current situation and the C.E.O of Apple had sent out an Apology to the users who are affected from the Maps for iOS 6.

The apology letter is as Follows:

    To our customers,

At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment. We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better.

We launched Maps initially with the first version of iOS. As time progressed, we wanted to provide our customers with even better Maps including features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice integration, Flyover and vector-based maps. In order to do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up.

There are already more than 100 million iOS devices using the new Apple Maps, with more and more joining us every day. In just over a week, iOS users with the new Maps have already searched for nearly half a billion locations. The more our customers use our Maps the better it will get and we greatly appreciate all of the feedback we have received from you.

While we’re improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.

Everything we do at Apple is aimed at making our products the best in the world. We know that you expect that from us, and we will keep working non-stop until Maps lives up to the same incredibly high standard.

    Tim Cook
    Apple’s CEO

This might sound strange that Tim Cook, the C.E.O of Apple is referring the Apps of his competitors as an alternative. This might be great news for Apple’s Competitors. They all must be parting tonight for being mentioned by Apple’s C.E.O in an apology letter.

Before the party starts, we already told you to get Google Maps on your iPhone running iOS 6 and ditch Maps for iOS 6 until they are not fixed. We also posted a detailed guide on how to get Google Maps on your home screen working. The guide can be found here.
