Facebook for iOS Crashing after iOS 6.0.1 Update, Are you Affected?

Reports are enclosing by from different sources stating that Facebook for iOS has started to crash on iPhone/iPod/iPad after a massive roll out of iOS 6.0.1 by Apple. It is said that the Facebook App for iOS crashes on the start from some of the people and not for every one. Few hours back Apple released a new update of iOS 6.0.1 in which it fixed numerous known and unknown bugs. Apple also added a new feature of O.T.A update for the iPhone 5. This new feature of O.T.A Update in the iPhone 5 first installs the updater and then downloaded the update O.T.A.

After the updating process is done, the installer is gone and the native Facebook Apps start to crash on iOS 6.0.1. it is not yet confirmed about whom to blame for this sudden crash. Some are saying that the problem lies with Apple’s iOS 6.0.1 and some are saying that Facebook for iOS needs an update because it is on 5.0.1 version. However, the blaming thing will continue until the issue isn’t resolved. We don’t expect the issue to be resolved so soon. It will take sometime to figure out about the issue and the source of the issue. After the issue has been found out, it would be resolved.

According to our Editor, the Facebook App for iOS works perfectly on iOS 6.0.1 with no issues. We have personally tested the App and it is working smooth and fine. The problem might be at the users end. The temporary fix that we came across to fix this issue is to

How to Download and Install iOS 6.0.1 on iPhone 5 – Tutorial

Later today, Apple released a new iOS update to its future of iOS. The new update is iOS 6.0.1 that was previously expected to arrive on the iPad Mini Media Event, but we couldn’t see the update of iOS 6.0.1 on the Media Event because Apple had no plans for releasing it so soon. Above mentioned are tons of issues that Apple fixed in this iOS 6.0.1 update. Other than the bugs in iOS 6, Apple forgot the O.T.A update option for the iPhone 5. iTunes 11 Delayed till November to “Get it Right” by Apple

The world is waiting for a revamped version of iTunes, which is iTunes 11 and Apple keeps on delaying the launch of iTunes 11 by slipping the date from one month to another. The rumors of iTunes 11 started back in April 2012, when we first reported about the new version of iOS being tested with iTunes 11 under the hood by Apple. At that, time the new iOS version was speculated to be iOS 6, that later on came true and iTunes 11 speculation remained at the same place where it was. Later at WWDC 12, we came across the iOS 6 and no iTunes 11 was announced.

After the time passed by and we came ahead of the iPhone 5 launch, just few minutes before the iPhone 5 was unveiled, we broke another news that iTunes 11 would be coming with the iPhone 5 in just few minutes because it was on Apple’s website.When the iPhone 5 made public appearance, the dream of iTunes 11 remained as a dream. To uncover the dream of iTunes 11, speculations slipped for the October 23 launch of the iTunes 11 along side iPad Mini. hopes were high for the iTunes 11 because October launch of the iTunes 11 was roaming in our minds. Unfortunately on October 23, we didn’t see any iTunes 11. Everything that was announced was expected before hand and the thing that was highly expected didn’t come out.

As for today, an Apple representative talking with CNET unveiled that iTunes 11-release date has been postponed until November.

The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right. We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November.”

While talking to CNET, the information that was revealed stated that a beautiful and cleaner interface of the iTunes 11 is in progress. In order to make the iTunes 11 version more sleek and simple, Apple needs some time to accomplish that task. Other than the design of the iTunes 11, the integration of iCloud with iTunes 11 would also be made for much better backup support.

This time the delayed date is said to be before the end of November, which we expect would be the last week of November. Therefore, expect an iTunes 11 download to be revived in the last week of November, rather than waiting for the iTunes 11 version in the first or second week of November.

What is Hurricane Sandy? Don’t bother to ask Voice Assistant SIRI

Getting Weather Forecasts from Apple’s newly introduced SIRI, the personal assistant would have been a great source to check out until today. If you are still relying on this artificial intelligence voice assistant to acknowledge you about the Hurricane Sandy, then you are doing the biggest mistake of your life. The hurricane Sandy is just coming to New York and Apple’s voice assistant made for the iPhone says that there is not hurricane coming to New York. According to SIRI, there is no such thing as Hurricane Sandy coming to New York because it couldn’t see any Hurricane Sandy coming up its way in New York.

If you have relied on SIRI for the weather update, then you really need to go out and see our self because SIRI has epically failed to report about the Hurricane Sandy coming to New York. This discovery of SIRI answering wrong was done by an anonymous user who asked SIRI about the storm of the century and SIRI Replied, “I don’t see any reports of hurricanes.”

After reading about this illogical reply from SIRI, we took our iPhone 5 and asked SIRI, if there is any Hurricane Lined for New York. Guess what, SIRI replied the same.

However, Hurricane Sandy is approaching New York at a speed of 201 miles per hour with winds blowing around 90 miles per hour.

Currently at the moment, Atlanta city and New Jersey are under water affected with Hurricane Sandy. Later on, more cities expected to be affected. While the Hurricane Sandy is going through, we would recommend that not to use SIRI, the personal assistant because you will be trolled with the weather report of SIRI.

Google Media Event Cancelled Due to Hurricane Sandy on October 29

TechGlued reported earlier about the Google Media Event to hold on October 29 that was right after the iPad Mini Media Event. The iPad Mini Media Event kicked off on October 23, where as the Google Media Event was scheduled right after six days ahead of the iPad Mini Media Event, in order to give Apple a tough time. Unfortunately, on October 29, Microsoft planned to announce its Windows 8 Phone. In addition, with Microsoft and Google, we would be having two separate Media Events on the same date. Each of the Tech Giants would be announcing something new in different cities.

However, it is the time for Microsoft to rise and shine on October 29 because Google has cancelled its Media Event due to Hurricane Sandy coming on the playground where Google had planned the Media Event would take place. According to the Verge, Google has released an official statement saying that the event has been postponed due to Hurricane Sandy coming on October 29 and the place where they had to debut the Media Event is in Evacuation state.

We are canceling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy. We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more.

As you can see in the image above the location of Google Media Event is around the corner of the river.

Google was looking for a big playground sort of place where they could invite many media personals and unveil many new products, one after another. This is the reason Google sent out Media Invites with the name of “The Play Ground is Open.”

What Apple iPad Generation to Buy and Why (Detailed Review)

On October 23, Apple announced something strange and that thing wasn’t highly expected by any one. Every one was taking it as a rumor and the chances for that thing to arrive on October 23 were very less. We are not talking about the iPad Mini or any MAC Line up refreshments. We are talking about the thing that is left after all the announcements. The thing is called iPad 4Gen. this is release of which no one ever expected or ever dreamed of that it would arrive the same year in which the New iPad (iPad 3) was released. Every one was expecting the release of iPad 4 to arrive in 2013 with some new amazing features.

Anyhow, Apple played its move and re-released the iPad with changed processor with changed dock. The dock connector of the iPad 3 was swapped with Lightning Connector, the processor was swapped with A6X and the name was changed from iPad 3 to iPad 4. After hearing the name of iPad 4 on the preceding special media event, many of you might have started to talk as if this iPad 4 is something good or something phenomenal because it was released by the biggest gay of Apple, Tim Cook. The truth is that, it is the same thing with different name and different processor with the dock same as of the iPhone 5. Therefore, the name iPad 4 is new and everything is the same that we had in the old version of the iPad 3.

This was the first move that Apple played to market its iPad 4. The trick that Apple played after releasing the iPad 4 was that they kicked the iPad 3 out of their website and replaced it with the iPad 4 at the same price tag. Other than this, they didn’t even change the name of the New iPad to iPad 4. The name of the iPad 4 is the same as of the iPad 3. However, the person buying an iPad 3 from Apple’s website will be buying an iPad 4 at the same price.

Which Apple iPad to Buy and Why?

Lets start with the iPad 2 that was released a year ago in 2011.

If we talk about the iPad 2, then we would recommend that not to buy or even look this product. This Apple iPad 2 is outdated technology and will finish eventually in the upcoming months or years. The iPad 2 is excessively old to grab one. The cost of the brand new iPad 2 at Apple’s website is $399 for the 16GB version, where as the 32GB and 64GB version are eliminated. This is smart move played by Apple to eliminate the iPad 2 series from the online Store.

However, in the market you can find many at lower prices than Apple is offering. After seeing the price of the iPad 2, it clearly seems that they don’t want to sell an iPad 2. They are forcing the users to buy an updated version of the iPad’s.

After listening about the iPad 2 prices and complete scenario, we thought that Apple would be more interested in to sell out the New iPad (iPad 3). This iPad 3 was announced in March 2012. Unfortunately, the iPad 3 couldn’t complete a full century and was kicked by Apple same year in the month of October after releasing the iPad 4.

Interestingly, the iPad 3 is not even available on Apple’s official website for sale or for order. Apple has removed the iPad 3 lineups from their website. This was indeed a very smart move by Apple.

iPad 4:

Now comes the real deal. This is the same iPad also known as the New iPad on Apple’s website. The same iPad that was named the iPad 4 on the Media Event and is been called the iPad with Retina Display on Apple’s website. This is the same iPad that has been replaced with the iPad 3 on Apple’s website.

It got every thing same other than the processor and dock connector. The dock connector in the iPad 4 has been upgraded to Lightning and the processor has been updated from A5x to A6X with quad core graphic technology. Remaining tech specs are the same as of the iPad 3.

iPad Mini:

Along with the iPad 4, little brother of the iPad lineups was also announced on the Media Event. The name of the little brother of the iPad series is called the iPad Mini. The name is self explanatory of the iPad Mini. As the name says “Mini”, the iPad Mini is the smallest version available in the iPad Lineups. The size of the iPad Mini is 7.85-inch, where as the precedors of the iPad Mini were of 10-inch.

The size of the iPad Mini is small with configurations that are made in the iPad Mini are as of the iPad 2. We can that they are almost the same as of the iPad 2.

The price of the iPad Mini is $329 for the Wi-Fi Model and increases with the type and size.

Which iPad Generation to buy?

As we know that Apple has announced the iPad Mini and the iPad 4, we would advise not to waste your money on the iPad Mini that accounts for $329. We would also advice that don’t waste your money on buying the iPad 2, not by Apple and not even by any retailers or shops because iPad 2 would be kicked out of the stocks soon by Apple. Therefore, buying an iPad 2 is not worth it. So, cancel the purchase of the iPad 2 from your mind and don’t even think about buying an iPad 2.

After eliminating the iPad 2 from your life, you got iPad 3, iPad 4 and iPad Mini left as an option.

If we talk about the iPad 3 in Apple’s point of view, Apple has eliminated the name of the iPad 3 from their website as if it never existed and Apple has never sold it out. This might sound strange, but its true. The iPad 3 has been kicked out of Apple’s website and it was replaced with the iPad 4.

However, there is a minimal different between the iPad 3 and the iPad 4. Therefore, we would recommend you to go with the iPad 4 as it accounts for the same old price of $499 for basic Wi-Fi Model.

Rest depends on the budget you got. If you don’t have enough money to buy an iPad 4, then go for the iPad 3 that can be found on other third party retailers shops. Still iPad 4 will be preferable because it is up to date technology and got almost everything the same as of the iPad 3 other than processor and few changes.

Now we are left with the iPad Mini. The iPad Mini is over priced according to us and is not that much worth it. The price of the iPad Mini is $329 in which you can get a good technological tablet. The iPad Mini carries the same processor and less resolution than the iPad 2. The processor is the same as of the iPad 2. There is only $70 difference between the iPad Mini price and the iPad 2’s price. The features are of the iPad 3 other than the retina display.

If you are planning to go for an iPad 2, then we would suggest to go for the iPad Mini because it is more advanced than the iPad in features wise and size wise. The size is small, but the features are fully loaded.

Now the choice is yours. You have to decide about which one you need to buy.
